He must have experienced some fcuked up **** as a kid to end up as truly mental as he is. From his complete narcissism, to extreme lack of empathy, to his attraction to extremely young girls including his own daughter. Something very weird was happening behind closed doors.

Agreed - There are no guard-rails anymore - There weren't many during his last term , but there are absolutely none.

And he's 8 years older ,8 years more of bitterness and insecurity eating away at any remaining vestiges of logic and common sense that might have given him pause before.

He's completely unbound and driven wholly by his damaged ego.

oh 100%, as I said Israel received billions in funding. Funnily enough, US direct involvement is different in that most don't want it but I suspect Donald sees it as an easy win. What he clearly doesn't see is the potential catastrophe.

this is the man who claimed Biden was going to bring America into WW3 while he’s now threatening to kill Irans president.

He put Bondi in as AG because she withdrew a case against him in Florida after he gave her 25k as a campaign contributor.

Kash Patel is head of the FBI because he wrote a book that listed going after Trumps enemies

Alcoholic Hegseth , whose only qualifications were as a Fox News host who liked

Anyone I’ve left out who are actually qualified? RFK? ? Noem ?

It's such a beautiful pole we thought we'd put it near, I mean it always looks best when it's near. Doral, I have a similar pole, and these are the best poles anywhere in the country or in the world. They're tapered. They have the nice top, I don't know if you people are aesthetic, they're the fake news, I don't know. We're doing well and as a country, if the Fed would lower rates, we buy debt for a lot less. It's a shame. I have a guy, do you ever have a guy that's not a smart person?

So folks, please let me know....

Is that Abraham Simpson or Donald Trump?

For a fella who had to leave the G7 summit early because of the pressing matter of the Israel-Iran escalation, he seemed to be able to fit in a photo op with firefighters today.

Reckon being constantly in the public eye, he can't get the diaper changes exactly when he should/wants and might have to carry about for longer than normal.

I dont see Trump dragging the US into a war with Iran, it would be utterly reckless.

Bernie Sanders has issued a very good video on the issue.

In recent months the US has held 5 rounds of negotiations with Iran to resolve longstanding concerns.

A sixth round of talks was planned for Sunday so Israels attack was deliberately designed to sabotage American diplomatic efforts.

Sanders says there can be no use of military force against Iran without an explicit authorisation from congress.

He says Trump should remember his words "A peacemaker and unifier" and rein in Netanyahu and work with the international community.

Trump has the cards, he can threaten cutting off financial and military support to Netanyahu.

I hope he hasnt surrounded himself with too many lunatics though.

    You still haven't realised...

    He IS the lunatic!

Aside from the fact that the term TDS is a sarcastic put down of opposition people who pay attention to what he says/does and comment on it [which he doesn't use when his own people pay him the same attention] I'm waiting for the day when he realises he now has a psychiatric condition named after himself and starts asking where it originated, and the media get hold of an AVD record of the moment when it's explained "eh it was you" to him.

Firstly Im not a Maga follower.

Secondly I am on record as saying Trump became unhinged towards the end of his first term.

The weaponisation of the legal system against him over the next 4 years only made him more unhinged and emboldened.

I said 2 years ago that I didnt think Trump should run again for President, that he was too old, too unhinged and had too much baggage.

If Alvin Bragg and Letitia James hadnt taken those pathetic court cases against Trump and the Democrats hadnt tried to conceal Bidens cognitive decline, we'd almost certainly have a Democrat in the White House.

Not Kamala Harris, because she was a poor candidate, but a younger more qualified politician.

Instead they blew it and gave Trump every opportunity to win.

Trump has done alot of crazy and needless stuff so far in his term, to be honest Im sick of him on the news every night waffling on about this and that.

I'm sick of the unhealthy obsession about him that people have.

Would US foreign policy be much different if Biden was still there, it probably would be more warmongerish if anything.

Israel simply has too much influence in US politics.

Well if you are sick of hearing about him and sick of him on the news why are you forever on the Donald Trump thread talking about him ?

I can see one obvious way to hear less about him that is totally uo to you.

You think Trump is unhinged but somehow Harris would be a worse POTUS?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,120 ✭✭✭✭Tell me how

Firstly Im not a Maga follower.

    A laughable statement.

No matter how many times you claim that at this point or going forward, having read your posts here for years, I don't believe this. Not that you care, or that I care that you don't care. We saw this a lot in his first term, people coming on to these pages trying to shut down conversations which were critical of him by saying those talking were obsessed.

And we've seen more weaponization of the justice system by Trump than EVERYTHING that happened to Trump during the Biden admin. Conservatives claiming to be the party of Law and Order but being outraged at the thought that Trump should be held accountable for his illegal activities is is as laughable at your claiming to not be MAGA.

And for a hatrick of things that are unbelievable in your post is your claim that a Biden admin would be more warmongerish than this Trump one. I have no praise for Biden and his support of a genocide but if you added up all his rhetoric throughout his term, it wouldn't amount to what Trump has said in the past few months.

And finally, you might call people having an unhealthy obsession about him. Open your eyes and ears and look at the world and his involvement in the various points of note. Anyone who has an interest in current affairs who thinks Trump isn't the primary player in these topics at the moment has their head in the sand. And if anything, the obsession would surely be with the person who says they don't support him but has spent years on here defending him.

Full Cruz/Carlson interview. You'll probably have to shower after watching it but as I said this morning, it's a level of questioning wildly missing from main stream outlets.

Of particular interest is Tucker pushing back on being accused as being anti-semetic, a practise widely used to shut down questions of Israel and their genocide in Gaza.

Trump is one of the most influential political figures in the world. It's not remotely unhealthy that the world is concerned about his behavior. You can claim to not be pro Trump etc but you have a long history of posts downplaying his behavior. We're almost 6 months into his presidency and your thoughts seem to largely be about Biden or viewing him as a victim for facing due process in the legal system. The latter of which found him guilty.

Biden and Harris were both promised to be warmongers btw but Trump has been doing so for 6 months and silence.

I hope he hasnt surrounded himself with too many lunatics though.

And it'll be these 'lunatics' fault if Trump decides to bom-bom Iran? Trump decides who he surrounds himself with and ultimately whether to go to war. You can bet your bottom dollar he won't be listening to Sanders anyway…

Oh yeah Biden famously used to go around saying he might bomb countries, or “nobody knows what I’m going to do” ffs 🙄

Hopefully he has the decency to drop dead in the middle of one of his hateful diatribes so we can at least enjoy one of them for a change.

If there is a war with Iran then oil prices will go up which will benefit Russia as their extraction costs are close to the current price.

When you look at Trump's international or defence actions through the lens of "how would this affect Russia" it's either neutral or benefits Russia.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,255 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

Incredible no matter what vile conduct Trump engages in, the strongest language and unprompted attacks are always directed at Trumps enemies.

More warmongerish? Absolute nonsense. Again trying to turn the narrative towards criticism of Biden based on absolutely nothing, in the face of all available evidence. Yes US foreign policy would be different. They wouldnt be going out of their way to alienate allies, be Russia's lapdog or plot to turn Gaza into a tourist riviera.

So that is exactly the act of a Trump defender.

You are posting on a thread about Trump talking about an unhealthy obsession? Voluntarily.

Who is forcing you to post here?

Your actions in posting such content directly contradict that and demonstrate it to be without any credibility.

He is dominating the news because of his vile conduct, his reckless incompetence and that of the ghouls in his administration.

The stuff Trump did was not merely 'needless'. Harsh words there. Needless? Get off that fence.

Crazy? What does that even mean?

But others have an unhealthy obsession with him?

Doesnt matter how many times you say you are not a MAGA follower, when you never miss a chance to excuse Trump and paint Democrats in a worse light.

If if if Democrats didnt do X.

Thats the conduct of a MAGA follower.

You're not fooling anyone with this charade.

IMO anyone who could realistically be American president right now would be at least giving serious consideration to gving Israel a helping hand under current circumstances…

I’m sure they would, but would they have told benji the rat to basically level Gaza so they could build a resort there, released an AI video of themselves as king of Gaza with a gold statue, left the G7 early to put up a **** flag pole, pissed and moaned about Putin not being there while telling bare faced lies about the reason why, etc., etc., etc?
