Indeed, I understand a lot of people are angry at Israel at the moment, but cases of naivety and innocence about Iran's regime are something else. It's a brutal regime and is deeply unpopular among Iranian people who don't have a choice. I've lived and worked with Iranians, the stories from them are shocking. Lovely people, horrendous leadership.

That is why I linked that article, as the Economist did fantastic coverage of the minor revolution in Iran following the murder of Masha Amini by the Iranian Religious police.

Sometimes you like to educate people, but alas, they are too stuck in their ways to even elevate their senses a bit.

The fact that some with a straight face can claim that Iran was 'peaceful' before Israel attacked it is slapstick comedy.
They are either too ignorant or too invested. Dare I say there might be another reason but of course they will deny it.

On the war itself, it seems that Iran is getting its arse handed to it. Apparently, Israel now has air superiority over Tehran and much of the country. They are softening it up for further attacks.

Only about 30% of its nuclear sites have been hit so far, but with air superiority now in its grasp, the IAF should have free rein to finish off the rest of it.

There have been questions, though, about one site buried under a mountain that they may not be able to destroy with their weapons. That is when eyes turn to Donald to deliver the coup de grace.

This will go on for a week or 2 yet, but Israel have the upper hand no doubt. But will they get what they want, regime change and complete destruction of Iran s nuclear sites?

As to the last point, If you honestly think that the West Bank and Gaza are the reason for the wider instability of the Middle East and the decades and hundreds of years of conflict, then sadly, I cannot even debate with you anymore. Read a book or two.

The newsreader and staff knew they were about to be bombed and kept on broadcasting - that's bravery right there.

I would prefer my wife, sister or mother to be told what to wear rather than be shot, bombed, burned and starved which is what Israel have been doing to women with support from posters here.
