Some comeback. But they're starting so badly in must win matches. Coaching is brutal. They're just living off chaos like Mayo years ago and just about surviving

So whattdya think of that Joe brolly

Loads of lads having poor years, McHugh, Silke, Conroy, McDaid not great apart from Mayo game, Tierney ineffective for long periods, Walsh mixing the ridiculous with the sublime, problems at goalie. Too many burdens to carry long term. At least a few of the subs put their hand up today.

We were brutal in first half against Dublin, Derry and Armagh

Could have snuck a draw against Dublin, could have snuck a win against Derry and managed to sneak a win against Armagh

If we fecking manage to play for more than 35 mins we might give ourselves a shot

Darcy was brilliant in the air again today I thought

All credit to the players, they were heroic in the second half.Hope for a nice draw for a change.

    Can we get Mayo?

Exactly. Lest we forget the draws this team has been subjected to over the last 4 years. Plenty saying we got lucky v Derry. Fccuk me if ever a team was due a bit of luck. Gutsy win today after every calamity going against them in the first half also

Kerry losing today really throws a spanner in the works. Now theres only 1 non Div 1 team we would meet. High probability we get them in Killarney.

Best hope would be Monaghan or Down. If Mayo beat Donegal it could be Tyrone. A very slight chance we get Donegal but unlikely.

I think it's nailed on that we get Kerry, can't remember us getting a soft draw recently. Great comeback, but, how are we constantly finding ourselves in this position!

    Let's be positive.

    What a ballsy comeback.

I'm so proud of the lads. Conroy what a man. Dropped but came on, downs Grimley then knocks over a point. Revenge (partial) for the digs he got last July that probably cost us the All Ireland.

I know it sounds optimistic but I thought a repeat All Ireland was possible and I still do.

McDaid had a very strong game this evening and Tierney had his first average game for a while, but was better in his second stint also. Wing-backs poor in fairness, Silke go to corner-back or else under pressure from O'Flaherty. Such was the hesitancy, you wouldn't know we changed goalie.

Firstly, great second half with some great football. It must be really frustrating for PJ when you see the second half and the talent they have. Silke has alot of football done and he looks tired. I would have him as an impact sub. Mchugh not going well either but it's hard to leave him off when you see the run and pass for maher goal. But thankfully we have options in daly, sweeney and flatherty. Darcy and maher were very good in the engine room and cook brings something different to the table. I would stick flatherty in goal. He will improve his kickouts.

Fantastic comeback. Was delighted to see lads that spurned great goal chances in the first half do the business for us in the second half. Finnerty in particular was a real leader in the second half.

Walsh would drive you mad at times. 2 easy scores by his high standards dropped into the welcoming arms of Rafferty (who was brilliant in fairness) but he delivered bigtime in the second half. Thompson and D'Arcy went very well too and was impressed by Fitz till he went off.

If they play like they did second half more consistently they'd beat anybody home or away.

Galway massive momentum. 2 points down and turning the screw after being down 8/9 points.

Armagh with an infringement. Walsh brings it out to the arc refusing a simple one point free and strokes it over for a 2 pointer to draw level. I was expecting a pitch l invasion of Galway fans with pitch forks to slay such a adventurous approach!! (Won't even mention him clipping a 45 quickly for McDaid to slot over 😅)

What a difference a couple of weeks makes.

I jest lads. Great craic yesterday. Great fun in Cavan last night.

Not excusing anyone but Joyce said Silke had a virus. In saying that his performances against Dublin (turnover for the goal) and (Derry turned over a number of times) would likely see his position under pressure.

Two other observations (I'll stick with the positives) seeing Mattie come back on throwing himself around like his life depending on it shows the character of these lads.

Thompson is a wizard. His vision and passing (that dink to Walsh for the penalty few players can create) is a joy. Play maker in chief now and he does not shy away from it even with his age and inexperience.

D'Arcy's progress in the last 2 years is unbelievable. I had him down as an average player, turns out he's one of the best players in Ireland. He's fantastic.

That first half performance considering the circumstances was one of their worst I've seen from a Galway team. How a team who have to win came out and started like that is a disgrace.

If the shoe was on the other foot, would have Armagh or any one for that matter have started a game they have to win like that. There is a serious problem with mentality in this panel. I'm not sure if it stems from the management team or the players, but something isn't right.

In fairness, they were 100 times better in the second half, but they couldn't have been any worse. A few lads really stepped up, but it shouldn't take a bollacking at half time to wake them up and lets be honest, if Armagh had anything to play for would they have let us back into it like they did, probably not.

God knows what we'll see from them next week.

Also, did something happen at training last Tuesday? I caught the end of a conversion on the GAA+ coverage mentioning something between PJ & Shane Walsh.

knowing our luck it'll be Kerry away, which is the toughest draw we can get. Kerry can't get Cork, so it narrows the options, plus Mayo could still finish in second, we can't play them, and don't think we can play Dublin either, which would narrow down the options even more. I'd prefer to avoid Kerry and hopefully someone else might take them out, as I think they are the one team I wouldn't fancy us against. While we are well capable of losing to any side left in the championship, on our day I'd fancy us against any team bar Kerry.

Team meeting with management Tuesday night to have it out. Fairly constructive according to walsh

Nothing kills the energy of a team than a spat between management and players. Not an isolated case either.

Looking like another 3+ hour trip next weekend. Down, Donegal or Kerry from what I can see.

Kerry with their injuries might be the best of the lot. Down looked sharp and that hard running style will leave any team that plays them knackered the following week.

Donegal in Ballybofey off the back of a poor performance today not too appetising either.

So it's Donegal, Down or Kerry.

To be honest I wouldn't fancy us against any of them. We have no idea what Galway will show up next weekend.

Looking at Donegal today they look a bit blunt in a attack. Going from side to side waiting for an opening and coughed up a lot of ball today. Which might be our best bet.

Down will run all day and they'll definitely out work us, but they probably lack quality forwards which would punish us. Lack of big game experience too.

Kerry are Kerry and we have a terrible record against them. We're not winning down there, injury crisis or not.

It could be worse, we could be out of the Championship altogether, but I fear it's only for one more week.
