Causing traffic mayhem for the next couple of weeks. Anyone I ask never heard of him.

The classic - artists sells over 150k tickets in ireland. Well I’ve never heard of him.

I'm going. Not usually a big country fan but I think he's a cut above the usual generic muck. If my partner and her family weren't going I wouldn't be going off my own initiative though.

Looking forward to this. Seen him in the Helix a couple of years back.

Really looking forward to seeing the Turnpike Troubadours and Noeline Hofmann also.

Nothing yet. Aiken have said show starts at 6.00pm and curfew is 10.30pm. His average set list is a little over 2 hours so I would imagine it'll be between 8.00 and 8.15 that he would be on stage. I could see the first support act on stage around 6.30 for 45 mins and the second on stage around 7.30 for 45 mins

show starts at 6 means first act then. Probably 6-6:30 for 1st act 7-7:40 for second and then after 8:10/8:15 for Zach

I don't think any gig I ever went to in Ireland started at the stated start time. Normally always 20-30 mins later in my experience

Daughters’s bought us tickets and accommodation for Christmas and as much as I’m looking forward to seeing Zach I’m not as keen about Phoenix Park being the venue.

Thread on fire I see. He must be a real Brucie 😁

as active as the garth brooks one.
sometimes an artist fan base ain’t on boards

Should be a good gig, hope the weather is decent.
I like the Phoenix Park as a venue in terms of easy access/ egress, though previous gigs I’ve been at there the sound was a bit hit or miss.
Going on Saturday, hopefully any teething problems are sorted out on the Friday night.

no parking on-site. Except for some coaches.
Park and ride at luas stops is main suggestion

I'm going to the Friday show and have a ticket for the blue entrance. I am driving up from Wexford with my pregnant partner. Where about is the best place to park that is close? Or how long is the walk etc?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,193 ✭✭✭Fanirish

likes of marathon etc running shuttle buses to the concert with drop off close to the concert entry within the park
the walk will be 30-40mins from the main gates if you are trying to park nearby and walk in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166 ✭✭Tipp1991

Aiken's FAQ state that "Please note that there is a 45-minute walk from the Phoenix Park entrances to the venue site.".

The Marathon shuttle buses drop off points are mostly the Papal Cross Car Park. The Papal Cross Car Park is still approx. 2km from the site

Earlsfort Terrace – Acres Rd, Phoenix Park

Balbriggan, Rush & Lusk – Papal Car Park

Blessington & Naas – Papal Car Park

Dunleer & Drogheda – Papal Car Park

Enfield, Maynooth, Leixlip & Celbridge – Papal Car Park

Grange Rath, Bettystown, Laytown & Balbriggan – Papal Car Park

Navan & Dunboyne – Papal Car Park

Where is the best place to park that is close to phoenix park? I just want to know my options and I don't mind walking a bit but a hike.

You will know some of his songs when you hear them ...

Why would you buy tix for someone you didn't know exist ..... ?

I hadn't heard of him, but I have never seen so many tickets for sale for a gig on Adverts before. I'd say you'll pick one up for free or very little if you held off until the day

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 121 ✭✭LLamachara

what’s going on there? There are tickets everywhere for him. Read some comments talking about lack of transport options for people outside Dublin

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,193 ✭✭✭Fanirish

Donegal rally is on this weekend and combo of that/travel/accommodation has meant people trying to offload

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,601 ✭✭✭✭greenspurs

    It's a bit strange alright!

He was everywhere when the tix were on sale , but now people aren't really interested..

I think the layout of Phoenix park will be painful... 😏

Accommodation in Dublin is also nuts this weekend. 3 x nights of Zach Bryan, Lions vs Argentina in the Aviva Friday, Mary Wallopers in Fairview Park Frirday, Kingfishr in Fairview Park Saturday, Dub vs Limerick and Dub vs Cork in Croker on Saturday, Tailtean Cup semi finals in Croker on Sunday.

Majority of people heading to Phoenix Park will be coming from outside of Dublin and its not the most accessible travelling by car.
