Netanyahu and his regime are actively prosecuting the war against Gaza. They are doing all of the bombing, plus displacing and starving of the population - this is 100% an Israeli war. Hamas are almost irrelevant at this point, putting up minimal resistance to the onslaught from the occupying power. Saying international governments should be putting pressure on Hamas (a relatively small and poorly armed militia) and not Israel to end the war is bonkers stuff.

The only thing that can end this war is Israel announcing a ceasefire.

I see that colossus and paragon of virtue, David Mencer, has given a nuanced and insightful press conference.

He says the Israeli forces towing the yacht have given the 12 activists on board plenty to eat and drink - and adds that the group will be returned home in a short time.

"On the subject of aid, the yacht had a meagre cargo but of course it will be sent into Gaza," he says.

"To poor Greta, we say, who is really feeding Gaza and who is feeding their own ego.

"When it comes to this flotilla, it wasn’t a flotilla, it was a selfie yacht. It was Instagram activism."

I reckon the only thing that saved this boat from being sunk, and (hopefully) the only thing preventing them from getting the full IDF “treatment” now is the high profile of Greta Thunberg. Would it be a step too far, even for this horrific Regime to do any damage to her. ?

The same David Lammy who has instructed responses to queries about the interception of the British flagged vessel Madleen intercepted in international waters not be cleared with relevant bodies, Legal, Navy etc because the action is illegal.

So Israel is allowing a tiny amount of food into Gaza so 1000s of people are at risk of starvation and the setup aid centres of course people are rushing to the aid centres to get food and there is a state of choas around those centres . Israel has designevd a new system of distribution of aid that cause the most uncertainty and danger to civilians instead of using the old system that the un used by simply driving trucks to certain areas . And there s a boat with Greta on it that was seized did they really think that the IDF would allow a boat to land and simply give food to civilians .
