so after using the turgame voucher on my Irish sub I now need vpn to turkey to watch on my phone. But Netflix on my Sony tv refuses to work. Despite same vpn to turkey.
I can log in, but when trying to play a movie (that works on the phone) I get en error that “

    ”.

Something odd happened with the post above. I cannot edit it - its shows a blank post with Cancel and Save Comment.

The error I'm seeing is "Sorry your account can't be used on this device" E114.

so for some reason the TV VPN gets detected ..

Edit: Doh. the VPN on tv had Netflix set up for split tunnel (bypass VPN). reason I did that years ago, the Ethernet connection dropped when starting VPN.
With a few workarounds to keep network up, Netflix is working now on TV.

How's Turkish netflix working for everyone? I have you tube set up on the iPhone using Turkish itunes gift cards and am hoping to do the same for netflix if possible

Time is contagious, everybody's getting old.

Yeah, read about it ok, not many paying for turkey via a card payment anymore, so will be probably over the €10 mark when you take into account commission and gift card fees, still though, a massive saving compared to €24 a month for top tier plan in Ireland

    fine for us so far.

not liking the new price increase though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,319 ✭✭✭-=al=-

26% increase across the board, standard is €5.10 going to €6.45. Still not bad but considering it was around like 3 quid for a long time it's a big rise in that relation to that. Once it's under a 10er I'll prob keep it. It's priced at what it was first when it came to Ireland in 2012 at just over €6

Apple TV 99 for the year here as is Disney plus , finding less and less on Disney I want to watch , and more on apple, and seems can share with up to 6 family members at the same time , time to get some more family

The Turkish prices increases are definately sharp, but the Euro continues to strengthen against the Lira, so paying monthly claws some of this back over time.

I have seen on Turgame the occasional one or two Netflix gift cards sold out but not the entire lot of them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,228 ✭✭✭0ph0rce0

I bought a 1000TL one yesterday and the only one not in stock was the 100TL.

    Maybe I ruined it 😂

G2A has them too. Used them before, never any hassle. Also try Eneba. Get my Xbox codes there. All good too.

Most are available again now (few are still sold out)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,731 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Turgame fees are significantly higher now it seems.

Last week a 900TL card cost me €0.86c in payment partner fees and €0.32c in service fees.

Today the payment partner fee is €1.00 and the service fee is an unbelievable €4.03. Wonder is it just higher on the weekends or has it really gone up over 1000%?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 232 ✭✭Nuno

Seems the service fee is exactly 20% of the purchase price, so I'm thinking Turgame are no longer the best price in town.

With being signed up to Turkey what's the best way of keeping this. Everyone keeping VPN on TV or signing in via a VPN every week or so? Also for getting content that's not in Turkey

I can set VPN on the router for certain devices but dont want to have to constantly turn it on and off to allow other apps to work such as RTE player etc

    Cheers

I think it makes no difference whether your VPN is on or not.

Just because you may be switching on a VPN to watch Netflix and your account hasnt been nuked is not evidence that this is the reason.

Ive had my Turkey sub with gift cards going a good while now and only ever use a VPN to access content from other countries with no problem.

But if people feel it makes a difference, then there is certainly no harm in doing so (and they could be right also!).

I just checked there and I'm being charged a total of €32.65 for a 1000TL voucher. The cost of the gift card is €22.39 so there's an extra €10.26 in fees and charges - ridiculous.

Does anyone know of somewhere else to get the gift cards where the charges are reasonable?

Maybe that's why they all went sold out the other day so they could bump up the fees. I got one last week and the fees and charges were about 3 quid

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,283 ✭✭✭Ohmeha

Turgame's Service Fee has increased from 1.6% to 40% of the Netflix Gift Card cost and the Payment Partner Fee which applies to the total of the Gift Card plus Service Fee remains the same it varies around the 3% to 4% range. I checked Amazon and XBox Gift Cards and this increased Service Fee is just on Netflix Gift Cards so it looks like it's Netflix responsible for hiking this Service Fee

Yes that's a hell of an increase especially coinciding with another price hike for Netflix in Turkey

Just came out at €24.55 including all fees, on eneba, using the Boxgame option to buy from. Time to stock up maybe ????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 990 ✭✭✭whosedaddy?

something I noticed is that the ratings for a lot of kids programs that are 13+ (or even under) in Ireland, are 18+ in turkey. My daughter is complaining she can’t continue watching any of the series she started.
As fees for gift cards are rising too, where to next?

    1400 TRY Netflix

    G2A

    Eneba

    Turgame

Turgame is just crazy tbh, they are cashing in on those of us that are availing of cheaper Netflix via Turkey

Anyone else get this message from Eneba before revealing the key code? Is it safe to go ahead and reveal the key if my original Netflix account was paid for with an Irish CC? Never used Eneba before. Have been using G2A for 18 months

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 216 ✭✭Posh Boy

Yeah, I got that and ignored it. Went ahead and bought the gift card, applied it successfully last night - I'm covered now up to October assuming there are no further price increases.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,828 ✭✭✭wassie

I bought TL3000 off eneba last night and applied to Netflix account no problem. (Had VPN on when applying them).

Dont recall seeing that message, but again had no issues. if your worried, maybe just apply a very small amount to begin with.

Edit - Applied with no issues. Covered now until April '26 at current prices.
