Remember when Kristi Noem said that there was no circumstance within which Kilmer Abrego Garcia would be back in the United States…

    https://www.dcnewsnow.com/news/local-news/maryland/prince-georges-county/maryland-lawmaker-reacts-to-kilmar-abrego-garcias-return-to-us-to-face-criminal-charges/

Of all the things they accused him of as he was being deported to El Salvador, I don't remember human trafficker was one of them but now that's what they're charging him with. Irrespective of how that case plays out, this is proof that the administration is acknowledging that he should never have been deported as he was.

The world’s richest man has no skills 😂

He’s a horrible person with terrible morals but he has to know a thing or two about business to amass the wealth he has.

A claim was made, after he was deported, that while he was driving from one state to another as a building contractor picking up workers, that what he was allegedly doing was picking up undocumented illegal aliens and moving them across state lines. The Homeland Security people decided to unlawfully deport him, then claimed they could not get the cooperation of the other Govt to return him to the US. The judge who ruled the DOJ broke the law stuck to the letter of the law forcing the DOJ to the impossible, TAKE Garcia back from El Salvador and run him into court on the alien smuggling charges to try cover their illegal acts and use the smuggling ruse to deport him again with court approval as a convicted person.

Yeah, have your Daddy leave you money and then effectively squander much of it.

    Link

Donald Trump started his career at the end of the 1970s, financed by his father Fred Trump. Over the years this transfer of wealth added up to around $500m in today’s money in gifts. My rough calculations say that, had he simply taken the money, leveraged it not imprudently, and passively invested it in Manhattan real estate – gone to parties, womanised, played golf, collected his rent cheques and reinvested them – his fortune could have amounted to more than $80bn by the time he ascended to the presidency in 2017.

And yet Trump was not worth $80bn in 2017. Instead, Forbes pegged him at $2.5bn – which, given the difficulties of valuing and accounting for real estate, is really anything between $5bn (£4bn) and zero (or less). It is in this sense that Pulitzer prize-winning New York Times reporters Russ Buettner and Susanne Craig call Trump a “loser”. He is indeed one of the world’s biggest losers. By trying to run a business, rather than just kicking back and letting the rising tide of his chosen sector lift his wealth beyond the moon, he managed to destroy the vast majority of his potential net worth.

And aside from that, there's ample evidence of how he has behaved in business, not paying contractors, suspicious loans, debt forgiveness and of course, 5 or 6 bankruptcies.

And what we're watching happening right now with the meme coin and the family going to countries at the same time as he is to negotiate deals, will be written about in books about corruption in the future. The fcuker will be long gone at that point though, unfortunately.

Not that far removed from from the situation Lydon Johnson described.

“If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.”

Trump was given, at most and adjusting for inflation, a loan of nearly 500 million dollars. His net worth is currently in the billions. I'm not saying he couldn't have made more money or that he has even created as much value for the world as his fortune would suggest, but if the aim of business in a capitalistic economy is to make money, he's basically been successful. I'm sure he's been massively underhanded in doing this, but the idea that there are real rules or morals in business seems pretty naive. Businesses will do pretty much whatever they think they can get away with if it increases their bottom line, as we can see with certain big multinationals funnelling their taxes through this country in a rather convoluted scheme.

    I do.

Both his parents were very long lived and isn't he the fittest president ever?

I don't find Trump's longevity at all funny. We might be stuck with him for some time yet.

So you were talking about the guy who made his name coming in to existing companies and the suing to become recognized as a founder or otherwise painting the narrative that it exists because of him?

Not a character I would aspire to be either, by any stretch.

He very clearly isn’t the fittest president ever, he is nearly 80 and overweight, both of those together increase mortality.

He is also in his second term, he can’t run after this one. He might be in the public sphere, he won’t be president.

    This is curious...

    1000010939.jpg

    1) why did Schoen ask Epstein if he had dirt on Trump?

    2) Schoen acts as Trump's lawyer too. He could hardly broadcast if there was dirt on his client if it existed

It's eerily similar to his 'doctors' report 😁

Yeah some lucky people get away with living unhealthy lifestyles and still live to a very old age, unfortunately he seems to be one of them.

I have a low opinion of beauty pageants like Miss Teen USA. He would apparently hang around the changing rooms.

How does this even make sense if we are in the Euro?

Being born wealthy and buying some businesses doesn't require any skill.

    Hold up folks.

    It's all clarified now.

    1000010946.jpg

Man who was found by a jury of his peers to consistently utter the most disgusting lies, so egregious in fact that he must pay $1.1 billion, and then appealed that finding, only to have it confirmed by the court of appeal... Says we should be believe him when he says there's no there there.

(PS - why would he investigate someone for paedophilia 10 years?)

Musk is only rich on paper. Hes not liquid and he's very vulnerable. Trump could destroy him in a matter of weeks. This bill will destroy him. Tesla survives mainly off carbon credits it sells to producers of ICE vehicles, with up to 7k per car coming from subsidies. Trump can remove that.

X was financed off the back of Teslas ridiculous stock valuation. If that drops the banks can make a margin call on the X loan.

Trump can also designate Space X as central to national security and basically take it under government control. He can also limit funding for Space X.

Without Space X, starlink is defunct. No method to put the satellites in space so that becomes worthless too.

So two small orders from Trump and Musk becomes a low level billionaire with very little leverage overnight. Add to that the fact that Trump absolutely hates that Musk is richer than him and it's only a matter of time before we see all this in play.

how Musk reacts to- going forward- will give a strong indicator of how serious , committed and genuine he is given how ultra wealthy he is. He is totally diametrically opposed to a key part of that ‘ big and beautiful ‘ bill ie the section that significantly increases the dept and is 100% against the tariff strategy.
he may not be able to do a lot re the tarriff situation but he has the cash and some connections to turn a significant republicans against the bill.

If he does nothing about any of the above then the ‘deal made with Trump a’ is eg a Musk favourite becomes head of NASA or some changes are made to that BIG bill - even cosmetic ones, or, or, or, or, or.

IMO , re America, with a ‘good solicitor’ and the way the law is structured /worded there , the federal government will find a way to convict any citizen of ‘something’ no matter how 100% clean your record is

I will ‘ bet my last dollar’ that this gentleman will be deported again . He has no hope But I am prepared to ‘eat my words’

ICE dressed up like they're in Afghanistan and using tear gas and stun grenades on a peaceful crowd of protesters outside a detention center in LA. Aided and abetted by the LAPD. Fascism on full display now.

they're going to show up in the wrong neighbourhoodone day, gun battle will ensue, lots of casualties, give Trump the excuse to bring in martial law, suspend habeus corpus

Trump is threatening California, saying he will stop federal grants for various things. How does the tax system work that California pays into the federal system, could they stop those payments in retaliation?

His father while long lived had dementia for a decade plus and likely had a better diet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,814 ✭✭✭✭briany

I'd have to do some digging to prove this, I suppose, but I seem to remember people on here saying he'd never make it to now , never mind some point in the future that is half a decade to a decade away.

I have absolutely no idea how long he'll last, but for best results, I believe people should just operate under the assumption that he'll live until 110, powered exclusively by spite and diet coke.
