Registering a Company for VAT

The process is normally straightforward. To register it shouldn't take long at all, if you have an accountant it will be done in less than an hour. It is then submitted to the Revenue of which they will process the information and then issue the tax number. Depending if you have a Corporation tax number or not depends on the time it will take, but normally it takes around 48 hours maybe slightly longer if you are not registered for corporation tax.
