It wasn't the most exciting race but it was certainly a lot exciting than the Monaco GP.

A "lot"? Mildly more exciting I'd say. How many laps under caution?

Kirkwood/Ericsson/IIlott put to the end of the field - failed post race tech

    Seven Worlds will Collide

    Imagine if Ericsson had won..…

There is an irony that two of the Andrettis have been effectively disqualified considering how much innuendo they implied around Penske. Don't think it's to far a stretch to imagine that the #26Herta prime car had the same modifications.

A crazy chaotic month of May with long term implications for the future technical inspection process ,independent or otherwise.

Only another 364 days to the biggest race in the world , and while yesterday's may not have been one of the greatest, hwhen you are comparing to Emmo/Unser Jr wheel to wheel, Josef passing Pato on the last corner , Sullivans spin and win , Unser Sr winning in a display car, Hilldebrand hitting the wall on the last corner allowing Dan Wheldon to get the win etc etc ,it's a very high bar.

Not a good look for the sport, doesn't look good for sponsors etc. at the winner didn't change after

Watching Indycar Detroit it's so different to Monaco, no problem cars getting along side and overtaking

    Palou punted into the barrier.

Now red flag to fix barriers after another crash. Suspension failure but 2 drivers involved seem mostly ok

Just saw the replay, good to see no serious injuries. Funny that they interview the drivers while still sitting in the cars. Never liked Will Buxton which makes this a hard watch.

The lad waving those chequered flags was class. 😂

Dennis Hauger: "Starting from pole and winning is the better choice but starting from the back and win is is it's more fun"

Watching the Qualifying last night for the Race this evening, few things struck me

The format was good. Think it was entertaining.

The timing line was before the pit entry so when they finished a timed lap they could pit immediately. This is something F1 should consider to reduce the hindering possibilities and penalties.

It's a very good quali format, made better by the real time qualifying tracking , no waiting for the next sector time , something other motor sports could really benefit from.

Good race from Road America last night , Ferruci taking a beer from a fan and knocking it back after his podium finish was iconic 👏

Brilliant victory by Will Power in #12 Penske but very mixed emotions as it seems clear now that Will is leaving at the end of the season to make way for David Malukas.

Power is the leading Penske driver and only winner this season.

Congratulations to Alex Palou on championship number 4, Pato suffering a car failure; electrics / engine

Scary to watch but somehow Rasmussen didn't crash despite multiple scary moments and passing which left zero margin for error , on an oval !

Milwaukee mile delivered a great race ,final round next weekend

Prema future in Indycar is in doubt unless they get sponsors on board.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,003 ✭✭✭Infoanon

They have been looking for investors since May , as others eg Mclaren ,have found out ,Penske and Ganassi are as formidable as any F1 team and paying out big money (Prema invested $40m apparently) does not guarantee success.

As an aside ,Metallica branding on the Mayer Shank Hondas this weekend, and wild rumours of Palou to F1 in '26

Pato on pole for the last race of the season - the Nashville Superspeedway.

    And Potentially :

Will Powers last race for Penske

Colton Hertas last Indycar race (rumours may be come reality as early as next week apparently for a F2 move!)

Premas last race ? ,a potential merger with JHR ?

Scharzmans last race in Indycar? Apparently he wants out

Alex Palous last race before joining Red Bull F1 - now appears highly unlikely

Grosjean to return in 2026 - Romain apparently very confident of a return (believed to be Dale Coyne racing)
