Oide jobs

    Hi

I was wondering if anyone has been offered any jobs this year for upcoming year 2025 to 2026.

I have been number one the panel in my subject for over a year or more now and still waiting as I really want this job and am holding out for the job to be released soon as I will be seconded at current school.

And as time is passing realistically my school no longer suits my needs as long commute and family responsibilities. No longer suit me. I don't want to resign and then I can no longer take up a role I really want to do.

I've contacted oide but just get a generic answer from them

Any clarification would be great thanks in advance

They seem to advertise for every subject regardless of what they need, which is unfair on applicants like you who are clearly very good! Have you applied for an associate role with them? Or do you know the current subject leaders? If you know them you are in a better position to figure out when they might have their 5 years done and be moving on.

Yes have been associate in past but not sure of current leaders as all seem to be new so I'm unlikely as to will there be a position in next year. I've contacted them as to would there be available role in next year earlier in year but no clear response.

Would love to know but to decide to hang on for another Yr and then not get post in the end. Love my school but unfortunately family time is more important now. Thanks for reply

Hi, I got offered a job on Tuesday. I interviewed a few weeks ago and got placed on the panel. My 1st and only preference was the arts, 2 friends of mine went for the same area and both got job offers too.

Sorry for only getting back to you now! They are strict on the 5mins presentation so have your key points ready, I had a script to one side of my screen to peek back at. They very much focused on your leadership skills, things you've led in your setting, how you'd engage someone who was disinterested in cpd, what makes good cpd, and then about how you'd engage with or how you are already engaging with the key competencies of the new curriculum framework.

I'd a very positive experience with my interviewers so hope you will too, the very best of luck!
