Des didn't own the Marble Arch and don't think has gangland connections. He was paid out around 150k in compensation.

Long read and I'm sure some here will point out flaws but anyway, thorough and interesting.

On Tallants podcast around the time The Monk was found Not Guilty, she said there was a 12 man team that day. She didn't name everyone obviously but gave clues as to who they were. And KM was one of them. She referred to him as the man that was the intended target when Martin o Rourke was shot instead.

Funny, KM did that robbery that he’s banged up for weeks before the regency. If he was involved, and known it was in the pipeline as that was planned long in advance, I can’t see him risking putting the plan in jeopardy with him having allegedly such a pivotal role.

I’ve always had serious doubts that he was one of the gunmen. Doubt it was him.

what’s the story with the Irish lad shot over in Spain?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,253 ✭✭✭LollipopJimmy

He punched Wig Whelan's Da in the Forge before he bought it, story goes he paid a considerable sum to right that. Can't be keeping up with him and the amount of aul lads he's digged for nothing.

One of the most senior figures in the Kinahan Organised Crime Group, who is wanted here to face charges of murder and involvement with a criminal gang, is being extradited from the United Arab Emirates.

Sean McGovern, who was named in the Special Criminal Court as one of the leaders of the Kinahan Organised Crime Group, is currently on a Defence Forces military aircraft being flown back to Ireland.

Imagine being on a flight home knowing that you're spending the next 15 years locked up while most fellas on flights today are heading for the sun!

Some seem to think it will open the floodgates to extradite the rest, but I’d be very surprised if they managed to convict any of the three Kinahans on anything serious unless someone turned state witness, and I imagine the prospect of that will be null, given how they picked off so many of the Hutches, and their associates and made their lives completely unlivable for the best part of a decade. I’d imagine the three remaining heads would have been smart enough to use lackeys like McGovern to handle any communications or actions that could be used as evidence in court.

Whilst directing a criminal organization would be one of their best angles, they still require evidence to make it stick.

They well definitely get convicted if handed over to the US, I believe some of that three will be.

100% and I think McGovern will turn state witness.

These lads have priorities, they place themselves at the top. Nobody was paying them to stay out of trouble. The regency hit was on a Friday. He probably only found out what was happening a few days earlier

From an article published Dec 2000. Anyone got a name for me? Description is fairly specific.

"Even as the funerals took place in the past fortnight, a garda investigation team has been trying to find the source of the infection. In the main supply bases of Thomas Street, Meath Street, Ballymun and Crumlin, the dealer of this deadly batch is generally named as a man in his mid-20s from Crumlin. He was born to an epic family legacy of crime and is described as ruthless. One local worker remembers him evicting a family from their home before shouting instructions to a gang as they drove a stolen car at speed into the front of the empty house."

You say that but all the lads going on holidays don't get a military escort and the plane to themselves almost.

A possible candidate, but not seeing any reference to Crumlin plus it doesn't give his exact age.

Reading what SMcG is being charged with and their saying between certain dates make it seem like someone talked or the Garda are going by EncroChat information.

Has anyone been done because of EncroChat in Ireland yet.? I don't think so.
