Does the report function work?

    As per the title, does the report function work? I reported a post that I thought deserved some type of mod action but heard nothing back and the post is still up.

    The user admitted in their post that they only signed up to insult me.

    It's hard to know if the function works, especially if there is no feedback.

    Yes it does work. There's a good chance it wasn't seen, the notifications from them are unreliable. And that's assuming the mods in question are active. PM the mods for the forum in question and ask them directly. Notifications from those are fully working and should get a response.

    A couple of months ago, I got the head eaten of me by a mod for sending a PM to ask if a report had been seen.

    Not an action I would recommend to anyone.

    I saw the report. I didn't think the post needed to be actioned.

    I didn't see the meaning in the post that you took from it.

    As for PMing a moderator. It's fine to do. But the moderator might not agree that the post needs any action.

    Do you not think a user at least deserves a warning if they sign up and then in one of their very first posts decide to insult someone?

    I don't think there was an insult. I didn't see the insult. The poster helped you with your issue. They told you they signed up to give you the fix. You even thanked them and told them it worked.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu.
