I was in the library two young ones studying in school uniforms.

I thought Jayus they are wearing very trendy blouses. With writing on them.

It took me a few seconds to realise that it must be numerous signatures from class mates. Likely an exam class.

This theory was confirmed when I saw the blonde girl had “I AM A NATURAL BLONDE” written in capital big letters on the back of her blouse.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Earlier this afternoon I had a closish encounter with a male juvenile black redstart. Jawdropping! I looked it up on the web: it's staggering to see how many different variations of plumage they can have, even more so than long tailed tits!

It was more or less the size of a canary. The plumage, like I said, varies A LOT. This one was darkish taupe (a bit like a robin's back) all over his back and chest with a slightly darker head, a black "mask" over his eyes and the front of his head and when it took flight you could see the flash of "pumpkiny-carroty orange" ™ under his wings and tail. Stunning.

It was more or less a cross between these two:

tomorrow I’m having a nice day free of other humans. Probably sounds a tad misanthropic but I’m a believer in sometimes having a little extended day / time for yourself and to yourself without too much background noise or distractions of the human kind let’s say. I find that very therapeutic and relaxing. It’s also following a week that’s been seriously productive and positive in every manner, … including finally getting good news on my latest clothing delivery mystery…🔦 having had to chase it up, AGAIN. 😖🥊👀 👌

I was walking the mutts earlier this morning and there was a beverage delivery truck in front of me that was parked up while the driver was dropping off a delivery. While I was passing out the lorry the driver gave me a can of Diet Coke from a 24 pack he was holding. I thought it was a really nice gesture.

a nice 4.5 kilometre walk in the sunshine, warmth and quiet.. knackered tired now but enjoyed it. Weirdly the streets were deserted which considering it’s the weekend and the amazing warm weather .. odd but in a peaceful good way…

The other night I was in what they called a Tesco superstore( a family shop type in other countries)

Having been confined to endless Tesco Express and quick pickup Tesco, I had such a good time stocking up on the things that are foundational to my life but not usually available locally or without a 30-minute traffic jam.

When I was finished paying for that, I had such a rummage in their frozen foods section to see what was upcoming or new to the market(while I'm not a fan of these, but I love to see the variations)

I just love a proper supermarket!!!!!!!!!!!!! th

Today I’m switching from one hotel out in the middle of Kent to another in London, and remembered to look up the check-in time: 2pm instead of the typical 3pm. That means an hour less moping around with my suitcase and more time to chill before I head out to a concert tonight.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Car was manky for months. Went at it good over the last few days. Snow foam, shampoo, polish & wax, refilled built-in aromatherapy diffuser. More treatments than a model in a salon.

I now have a new car.

Sourced a seat for my car. €150. Not happy having to fork out but delighted it wasn't 3 or 400.

after having a bit of an average workout on earlier in the week, today was the opposite, was there for about 75 minutes and everything felt easy and my body was more willing and able to deal with quite tough resistance settings.. last time it was white flag time, crap. Different story today..

very enjoyable day at the cricket…didn’t really get sunburned despite forgetting to pack my sun cream. Hat, sunglasses & hood covering neck sorted me out.

Pity the weather put a kibosh on a result being achieved but still lots of entertainment in the few hours play we did see…

My favourite all time headline is when P Diddy had an altercation with Shane Lynch.

Front page of the paper next morning read " Puff Daddy meets Tuff Paddy" 😀
