Problem is though, that toddler Orange Buffoon does not mean it as an empty threat. He'd do it if he got half a chance

Bidens administration on the other hand was shown to be trying to censor alot of people, notably during Covid, that was a real abuse of power.

If you mean point out lies and stupidity of those being stupid and lying about Covid, then, yes.

It wasn't censoring if they were on every dumb show available crying about how they were being censored.

From Ann P. Mitchell on F.B.

In May, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington [CREW] asked the District Court in Washington to order DOGE to comply with an FOI and for the court to order that those records be preserved pursuant to the Federal Records Act (FRA). The court agreed with CREW and ordered discovery. The Admin then sought a Writ of Mandamus from the Circuit [appeals] Court to order the District Court to dismiss its order.

"The government petitions for a writ of mandamus to halt the district courts order for limited discovery into whether the United States DOGE Service (USDS) constitutes an agency within the meaning of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The government contends that the district courts order permitting narrow discovery impermissibly intrudes upon the Presidents constitutional prerogatives.

In light of the governments failure to make a persuasive showing on either of the first two elements of the analysis, there is also no reason, in considering the totality of the circumstances, to issue the writ. Accordingly, the petition for a writ of mandamus is denied." Filed on 14 May 2025.

It seems, basically, that DOGE will have to maintain records of its work in compliance with the FRA act, enabling FOI's to be complied with. Doubtless the Admin will seek another court to overturn the Circuit Court order. It does appear the courts consider DOGE to be a Federal Agency liable under the FRA act.

Trump says Biden has "Stage 9" cancer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,458 ✭✭✭trashcan

Ah, there he is. That’s the Trump that we all know. Too much to expect any basic decency from him, despite his earlier short and to the point statement. Of course, as someone pointed out earlier, it was bound to happen once he got in front of a camera and had to speak off the top of his head rather than someone compose a statement for him. And once again he turns it all around to himself. “I took a cognitive test , and I aced it. Are you proud of me “🙄. What a despicable human being he is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,561 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

It didn’t even take him 24 hours. And he still has to make it about himself somehow.

    Pathetic.

And just for the record, there is no such thing, or concept, as stage 9 cancer. Stage 4 is the max. Not only is he pathetic, he is a moron.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,347 ✭✭✭✭charlie14

Seems he either never heard the quote, - (or more likely did and his cognitive recall is nowhere close to what he claims) - that it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,121 ✭✭✭✭Tony EH

A truly, truly, pathetic excuse for a human being.

    "So and so has cancer"

"Well, I did a cognitive test. I got all the answers right. Are you proud of me?"

    Fkn 'ell

    :/

Think 9 is the PSA count?

Not excusing the orange gimp, mind you.

Just in case anyone is unsure, stage 9 cancer is 4 stages past dead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 28,401 ✭✭✭✭Peregrinus

Biden's cancer has a Gleason score of 9.

The Gleason score is arrived at by adding up the stage (in Biden's case, 4) and the grade group score. The latter figure is a measure of how aggressive a cancer appears to be, based on microscopic examination of a biopsy sample. Biden's grade group is five, given him an aggregate Gleason score of 9.

To be honest, I wouldn't be excessively critical of Trump for confusing the staging and the Gleason score. Most of us have a pretty hazy idea of exactly what they are.

I would be critical of his immediate pivot to boasting about his own cognitive health. This is crass, tasteless, self-absorbed and narcissistic. It also contributes to the already-strong impression that Trump is very anxious about his own cognitive health. Someone who incessantly harps on about his excellent health, his impressive memory, his romantic or sexual prowess, his wide circle of friends, or whatever is showing you what it is that he most fears.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,561 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

Worth pointing out, Trump only used the “stage 9” comment to infer that somehow Bidens team knew about it and covered it up, when it was only discovered recently.

This again, is an attempt by Trump to smear someone when he knows next to nothing about the situation, and then makes it about himself.

But this is the man who gloated about having the tallest building in manhattan as the twin towers were still smouldering rubble, so should we actually be surprised here?

Trump is the POTUS. Getting simple stuff wrong because it's a bit complicated is deeply worrying.

What hasn't been commented on much is that amount of times he simply says he doesn't know. Obviously it's his way to avoid answering questions, but a POTUS with so little grasp of anything is a bad sign.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,275 ✭✭✭✭Leroy42

Trump had a 2 hour call with Putin yesterday after which Trump claimed Putin will start talks. This despite numerous times Putin has played Trump already. But according to strongman Trump, he really told Putin this time.

Remember , Trump already told Putin to stop via tweet with Putin simply ignored.

Within hours Putin released a statement saying he had no intentions of a ceasefire unless Ukraine basically gave up.

    Another failure from Trump.

The most powerful man in the world that can't get anything done.

I think Putin was an interogator with the KGB,he knows how to manipulate people. I imagine it was like a teacher with a junior infant.

He was told the correct information on Biden.

So, he either knows what he's saying is b0llox and his primitive monkey brain thinks that saying 9 instead of 4 will be more egregious in the eyes of his cultists, despite the fact that it is manipulating a fellow human having advanced cancer or...

He was told and forgot, mixing up the number 4, with the numbers 5 and/or 9, because he either couldn't care less to retain that information or hasn't got the mental capacity to.

Either way, what the f*** is he doing being President of the United States

Seriously, I think Trump was told Bidens's stage (4) and Gleason score (9), and just got them confused. Easily done, by someone who has no ideah what either a cancer stage or a Gleason score signifies.

There are multiple serious reasons why Trump is utterly unfit to be President. This is honestly not one of them.

You make sure you are sure before running with it. This is just another example of his disregard for even trying to be competent.

That's the thing, he didn't need to try and get into any specifics whatsoever. Extend some well wishes, say you're praying for his recovery, then move on to the next question.

Instead, Trump wishes him well, makes some sh*t up about him having Stage 9 cancer, then talks about how great he did at his cognitive test as if he hadn't just gotten important details wrong about Biden's cancer.

He is wholly incapable of the absolute bare minimum slice of humanity.

He didn't even answer the actual question on whether he would call his predecessor.
I'm curious to know what he meant when he said it was "very sad" - sad that Biden has cancer or sad that Biden (in Trump's view) kept it secret for so long.

It shows, yet again, that Trump cannot understand information. He got confused by 2 different numbers? And that is to be excused as just one of those things?

While this may not be the most egregious error, it points to the fact that Trump simply has no idea what he is doing or the ability to deal with anything more than the simpliest of information. It shows why he is so wrong about tariffs, why he never got close to dealing with medical insurance, why his EO's are rubbish and never lead anywhere.

He simply has not got the intellectual capacity to deal with anything complex, when complex starts at two different pieces of information.

It's an embarrassment. The man looks like a fool. Imagine standing up at the POTUS podium and making such a juvenile mistake? Luckily he isn't a doctor or anything important that he lack of intellect can actually have a negative impact on anything.

He's also been confused about how many world wars there have been.

Agree 80% with JD Vance but it's the Democratic party that needs to take a long hard look at itself as usual. I don't so much blame Biden for ambition of serving but his party knew full well he was in no condition to make a second term. That's just stating the obvious.

The first reason, certainly. Have you ever heard him quote a correct number about anything? It doesn't matter what the topic is, he says the first, most impressive, number he thinks of, and in subsequent statements says a different - usually higher - number again.

In the same way that he thinks more gold is better in any room he is in, any number will do no matter what he is quoting, the higher the better. Bigger is better. You have only to listen to his 'price of eggs' speeches - he does not have any comprehension of how percentages work, but the bigger percentage the better.

The average retail price of eggs would have to fall to about $0.35 a dozen for Trump’s claim of a “93%, 94%” price drop to be accurate…

As of April 18, the average wholesale price for graded, loose, white large shell eggs was $3.13 per dozen, according to the Department of Agriculture. That was down about 47% from the average price of about $5.87 on Jan. 17, days before Trump was sworn into office again.(FactCheck.org)

If you are fully accepting what Vance says then I take it that you believe it should equally apply to the current President who is clearly not fit for the role mentally or physically

Your thesis is that the guy who recommends injecting bleach as a cure for a viral infection, praises Nazis as "very fine people", and isn't aware that world war 2 happened is sharp as a tack.

All Vance is showing here is what an immoral corporate parasite he is. He got a corporate education and became famous by crapping on the place he grew up in.
