    Hi

I'm trying to claim tax back from Canada but I've left the country. I'm having issues since there are no online options for this. Has anyone had this problem?

I used taxback.com years ago. I know they do take a fee out of your tax refund but they took the hassle out of it. Not sure if you want to use a third party though.

What do they charge? Will they provide p45s or p60s from employers on top?

id take the hit on it as any cheque the CRA send back will be a nightmare to try get cashed .
PTSB been awful for me and CU , EBS dont take anything in a foreign currency.

I think taxback is a set fee and 15% of the return.

You can file for free with intuit or other sites if its a basic T4 return but then you have to do the mail in return also which will take quite a while to process.

I'll take it into consideration. Thanks very much!

Sorry, I can't remember. It was a few years ago now at this stage. Don't remember getting any extra documentation like Canadian versions of P45 or P60s.

I submitted a tax return to tax back .com last month. it turns out I am only due 350 pounds back. I estimated a grand after a years work. Are they trying to pull a fast one?

Depends you could try qualify for a free file if it’s a regular return not self employed etc.

turbo tax will let you input all your details and give you an estimate on what your due back in Canadian .

FYI the Canadian dollar is way down compared to 2/3 years ago when euro to cad was 1euro to 1.30 ish today it’s at 1.60
