CCTV Storage on buses

In Ireland it's advised for businesses to store CCTV for 30 days but I don't think it's mandatory. Some other bus drivers seem to think it is in fact mandatory by law to store it for this period but I'm not sure. However a manager in my company said it's 14 days.

    Thanks

Footage should be retained for a reasonable period, as determined by a risk assessment, and the system should allow for setting retention limits per camera - the rules

You need a written policy that determines what you record, how long you keep it and the justification & purposes for which it can be used etc. Need to consider privacy, transparency etc, and restrict access and comply with gdpr rules.

But it doesn't specify what the reasonable period is. As long as you have a written policy that covers the bases and adhere to the stated retention policy, both 2 weeks or a month sound reasonable periods.
