Has Grpit demanded any country be excluded from the Eurovision Song Contest?

I must commend RTE for having such strong opinions on the Gaza conflict whilst at the same time being so impartial in their reporting of same.

I must thank Ruth for the massive own goal and giving my favourite publication a massive boost this week. Seeing other journalists who probably disagree with them on a personal level rally around them was great to see.

She's given us a nice little glimpse into the far left wing utopia that awaits us all if she and her ilk were in power. Those who disagree with their viewpoint need not apply.

Do they? I've only ever seen them report what is said.

    Any examples?

EDIT: Actually, online there is more scope for commentary, but commentary doesn't mean offering an opinion. Pretty sure putting forward an opinion would go against RTE's own obligations.

You should report them if they're so prominant at it.

In other words, research your argument for you and if I still disagree, I'm disingenuous? No.

I don't believe this for a second. It's more both sides nonsense.

Ah well if you don't believe it sure that's that eh

Listen to today's news at one and count how many times opinions were asked for offerred. Do the same for sixone etc. it's not a secret or hidden.

Is fairly clear you don't want to accept it because it doesn't suit you.

Report them to who and for what...asking for opinions and commentary? What exactly are they doing wrong by asking opinions that they should be reported to someone?

Her apology was through gritted teeth yesterday and it's clear what she really thinks.

There's nothing in this but she keeps making it worse.

No. It's your argument so the onus is on you to back it up. The fact that you don't hold Gript to the same standards indicates bad faith on your part.

Your the one claiming rte only report in facts and don't have commentary or opinions, which is clearly waffle and just not true.

I don't need to prove anything. The evidence is clear and you can listen back to any of the shows at rte.ie/radio/radio1.

It's clear you are talking shite in an effort to discredit gript.

I never said that. Since you're now making things up, I suggest we leave it there.

Pretty sure you'll struggle to find any journalists who have worked in the region that don't have an opinion on the conflict. I'm sure you can point to something improper in their reports on the conflict? Cause they seem pretty in line with everywhere else on the conflict.

you do know that RTE are not just a news organisation. They are a broadcaster and have a news division. If you want to pick out any of the output of Radio 1 and use that as evidence that they are not just reporting on the fact of the news you are being either disingenuous or don't even understand your own argument.

If I picked out a Radio 1 show - lets say ….. Live commentary on last week's Leinster final - is a pundit on giving his opinion on the penalty decision in the first half 'proof' that RTE is biased?

Listen to the news at 1 and it is generally all factual. The majority of Gript's output could be well seen as opinion pieces.

That could be classed as a racist remark as the poster knows well that Ben is mixed race as his mother is from Jamaica and his dad is Irish.

You do realise the only output I mentioned was rte news. News at one, six one and 9 news...where commentary and opinion features in all. As recently as today's news at one Rachel English asked for opinions.

It's an attempt to make herself the victim in the situation.

Must be great for those who elected her to know she's spending her time fighting twitter battles until the wee small hours as opposed to doing anything of substance for her constituents.

Hopefully a day is coming where these far left politicians are as far away from Leinster House as the few far right ones we currently have and we can save ourselves these sideshows and actually do something to improve this country.

    Glazers Out!

RTE News is usually limited to what was said, who said it and where it was said. They don't even offer their opinion on their sports coverage.

This is the Six One news from yesterday…

    https://www.rte.ie/player/series/rt%C3%A9-news-six-one/SI0000001474?epguid=IH10008758-25-0133

Point out where the opinions and commentary are.

Laughable to suggest that Coppinger or Paul Murphy or any of the others who can be counted on the fingers of one had are somehow either responsible for determining government policy or preventing it from being implemented?

    I mean, talk about ridiculous

    I'm partial to your abracadabra,

I'm raptured by the joy of it all.
