    Hi peeps

What are the options to rent private accommodation for an in-office week in Dublin/ Kildare? I work remotely and need to be in office for one week a month

I don't want to move between Air BNB or hotels. I'd prefer an apartment or private dwelling.

    Anyone got cost effective solutions.

You're not likely to find any single property that will rent to you for just one week a month on a long-term basis, so normal short-term accommodations like hotels or AirBnBs are likely to be your only option. If you're willing to book well ahead then you might be able to stick with the same accommodation for most weeks, though it might get tricky during peak tourist season. Your other choice would be a normal long-term rental, but then you'll be paying full price for a place you're only occupying a quarter of the time.

    Hey
Have you asked peers from your office? I'm considering renting out the spare bedroom, but I'm not keen on having someone at home all the time. It would suit me better to have someone for just a few days.

Good for you. What the fook has that to do with someone looking for digs one week out of four in Ireland, though???

Place advertisement for a room one week a month. Don't wait for someone to come to you

You're only asking any accommodation provider to blank out a specified week on a regular basis.

They are free to rent it to different clients on other weeks.

Someone will be interested in that sort of return business.

I thought short term accommodation was banned?

O know someone who has an ex bedsitter with a bathroom. No cooking. The might let it on a nightly rate.

This is hypothetical now for the OP.

But if short-term accommodation was banned, it would be to the detriment of workers in similar situations. They could end up taking a room a house-share, and leaving it empty 3 weeks out of 4.

Banning stuff which isn't dangerous is just silly.
