Watched this last night, I watched so many crime documentaries but this one left me feeling really sick with the outcome :(

Btw I suppose everyone watched it ages ago but I just finished this few days ago - The Queen's Gambit - would recommend to those who didn't see it yet like 8 out of 10 for me

Watched The Queen's Gambit in 2020 and thought it was very good too 👍️

Might not be for everyone but found Tom Segura's Bad Thoughts very funny I binged the 6 episodes(about 20 minutes and episode)If you like his standup stuff you'll like it if you don't find him funny then skip it.

I recommend that anyone who hasn't watched Stranger Things watch it because it's really great. Also, a new season is coming out soon.

My OH is binging on 'House' at present, it's entertaining enough. But I think there's either 4 or 6 series and she's only half way through. It seems Netflix have saved the good stuff for the long summer evenings, instead of the dark winter nights.

8 seasons. It's good for the first while, then they stopped growing the characters.

I saw a mention the other day of a new TV series similar to Desperate Housewives, but I can't remember the name or where I saw it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

There's a spin-off called Wisteria Lane, but it's only in development at the moment

Stranger things is one of those shows you have to watch in your life time. Didn't realise there was another season coming out tho.

Just finished the last instalment of Love, Death, and Robots.

Waste of time, sure the animation is good, but that is to be expected in this day and age. Of the episodes only 3 episodes come close to resembling a story.

I know a lot of the anthology is style over substance, but when the substance is not found, it means the style doesn't have to try hard to eclipse it.

Would much rather they spent time developing a few good stories, than this scatter gun approach. Each season has gotten worse, last season had 2 maybe 3 half decent episodes... this has 2. Far too much filler.

Also the first episode stars a singer who bragged about having sex with a 14 year old when he was 24. Still amazed that he hasn't been cancelled in this day and age.

Really wouldn't bother with this season.

Clever word play may win debates, but it doesn't make it true.

I wonder if they've lost momentum? Is it two or three years since the last series? The kids are all grown up, with Millie Bobby Brown now a married woman. I loved it all so far, but it will be hard to pick it up after all that time.

Probably going to use CGI to de age them... which will look absolutely awful.

This is the last season of the show, and I think it is safe to say it has been Netflix's biggest hit, so once it finishes, I wonder how long Netflix have left. They seem to throw money at garbage, and cancel shows in their infancy, neither are signs of a successful business.

On Stranger Things - the West End show is decent - it's fun and quite high-budget, but it does feel like a cash-in really (between seasons).

They said before they're going to rely on physical tricks like hair, clothes, camera work, etc to mak ethem look younger.

Watched the new Love, Death & Robots. the first episode was strange

Just RHCP at Slane but done as puppets. I was waiting for something to happen but very little did. It was just a music video. Even when they took out the candles, I thought all the strings would burn but only happened one puppet. So it didn't feel like a LD&R episode.

Watched the Fred & Rose West series.

3 episodes, well worth a watch.

I remember the case and it is still quite shocking what happened there.

I remember this well when it all came out on the news, but to see and hear Fred be so calm about what he did and casually waving at areas in his house and garden as to where bodies might be was shocking. The biggest slap to me was he admitted he didn't even remember their names, and referred to them as they or it. That was cold. Such beautiful young women with their whole lives open to them. I also wonder were there more women, as he had started out dumping them at the sides of roads before using his house. God knows how many more there may have been! It was a disgrace that he wasn't monitored enough that he was able to hang himself in prison and take the cowards way out. It seems like the turning point for him admitting Rose's involvement was something as small as her not acknowledging his hand on her shoulder in court - the insecurity of the animal. But that being said, I feel like Rose got off lightly in the doc. She as clearly involved in it all, and in fact the only time I felt like Fred showed emotion was when he spoke about his daughter Charmaine that Rose murdered, but he didn't seem at all bothered about his daughter Heather, with Rose. .

This looks really interesting Matthew Goode is always very solid.

I don't know how to do spoilers. Do you have to do spoilers on these Netflix things?

I thought he showed emotion when he spoke about Ann McFall apparently his 1st victim though we'll never know.

They didnt say it in the doc but I remember reading that he told the support woman that ann was the real 'love ' of his life and thats why i noticed it when he was talking about Ann. I mean whatever you can take from that, he was obviously mentally distancing himself from rose at the time and may have been playing into some fantasy in his own head about Ann.

I think its pretty obvious that these were two people living in a fantasy land and delusional and any of them being emotional about victims would be from a purely narcissistic self centered passing second and not any real moment of clarity.. (I have to watch my wording because I hate when people say 'their' victims because they were not theirs, they were people who had their own lives at one time and were so much more than what unfortunately happened to them)...

I've finally started watching The Office (American one) and its good. Very nice and light funny show. Its not quite as good as the UK version though imo.

How far in are you? The first season of the US version isn’t great but it improves a huge amount after that.

House is great but after season three it gets very uneven. Also, not the best show to binge I feel as it can become a bit repetitive. But maybe I just feel that way because I recently binged the first three seasons having seen it before.

Probably late to the party to mention it, perhaps it's been out a while by now I'm not sure, but I threw on the Love on the Spectrum season 3 last night and found I had to binge it to the end (I had seen the previous seasons a while back). It was awesome to see the romantic connections taking place, really heart-warming and found myself smiling a lot watching it.
Not everyone's cup of tea, and must admit to skipping past a few of the matches as they weren't as interesting to me, but there were a few that were so amazing that I couldn't turn it off, just had to see how it turned out in the end.
The producers of that show have really done an amazing good deed helping the people feel good about themselves in their search for a partner.
Just at the end of it left with an anxious feeling of hope that the couples can all survive together into the future, and how they will tackle basic urges like wanting children and to live semi-independently without parents, or how to deal with parents getting older.
Some of them have such purity to them that it makes you emotional to observe their nature in the interviews. And it would make you mad hearing that they could have been bullied growing up and there is no badness in them at all, really makes you think about having more perspective about the basic privileges enjoyed by able-bodied neurotypical people.
The amazing family and kind people that are so nice to them would make you feel so touched.
Next watch now is to watch the Australian version!! :)

North of North is good and funny, takes a bit to get into but enjoyable with a charming lead

I find House great for watching the odd time watching a random episode. I was never too bothered by the back stories to be honest. I just enjoy the case of the week really.

Out today. The reviews are mixed, but they were too for the Fear Street trilogy. I enjoyed those, so will watch this over the weekend !!

    I wouldn't bother tbh :(

I am a sucker for an 80s set slasher..the music is fun and some fun gore, but outside of that it is very poor. The script poor, acting is generally dreadful, the main lead was fine, but the rest wowser even the established people, Lili Taylor in particular brutal...

No idea what someone like Katherine Waterston is doing in this film, she is better than this trash.
