Luke hogans yellow was gas both players had eyes for the ball and collided in the air and he dished out a yellow 🤣🤣

Pretty sure the Offaly 6 gave Luke a nudge which actually caused the collision.

I am sure we are all happy for ya. Some neck to come on here and dish it out to our lads at minor,20 and senior when you actually do travel a mile to "support" them.

I don’t agree with the negative midfield comments at all. I thought they were excellent. Nothing flashy but really good in the rucks. Kilkenny destroyed offaly in the rucks and the close in skill of the two white helmets was a key factor.

Our back line didn’t look right though.

I would think Offaly put a huge effort into achieving promotion in the national league and it is now telling against them. Sorry to see young Screeney in a boot and I hope they stay in the McCarthy. Our lads did what they had to do without looking overly convincing. Tommy Walsh was the standout in defence and its been a while since we could say that, testament to him for not dropping the head when struggling for form. I thought the two boys midfield outstanding after the first fifteen minutes and Stephen Donnelly and Billy Ryan best of the forwards. Gutted for Harry Shine who was doing well before the injury, hopefully not the end of the campaign for him. Dubs will test us big time next week. 20s, minors out as well next so a lot to look forward to.

Job done today. 3 from 3 is all we could ask for at this point. Plenty of reason for optimism.

3 Leinster semi finals in 5 days starting with 20's on Wednesday (seniors is effectively a semi for both teams). Exciting week ahead.

Would be a good idea for Dubs and Kilkenny to be able to play the Minor semi as a curtain raiser for the Senior on Sunday, but that's common sense so will hardly happen.

Glorious day in the park yesterday but the match itself was a complete bore. Over as a contest after 10 minutes. Nice to see mullen in, hopefully he can push on now next week v dublin, who will be a far harder nut to crack and could be a potential banana skin for us. This gane did nothing for us unfortunately. Some nice scores but the game was like a training session. One concern I have is the ease at which they walked past us for both goals, albeit 2 excellent finishes. I thought blanch was weak enough but he will come on after the minutes he got. Can't say a whole lot more just that we need to be fully prepared for our toughest game so far next week. Win, and its a leinster final. Just a special mention to TJ. His eye for goal is as good as ever.

It was off the ball that Harry got injured. Well Chaz that would be a great idea to play the minor in a double header, but you know the county board and great ideas.

I am as much a hurling fan as I am a Kilkenny supporter. The Munster championship is as good a sporting spectacle as you can get anywhere in the world . The Kilkenny match was a foregone conclusion. I put out my opinion as I feel some players are not up to it but I have been full of praise for a lot of players. Billy Ryan this year and John Donnelly before he hit form last year i credited him as being a vital cog for Kilkenny when he was getting knocked here. Obviously full of praise for other like Lawlor. Sorry if I knock a few players and there family are on here hyping them up

What was the injury - he looked to be holding his shoulder but I only noticed it late so not sure

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 112 ✭✭The_Tank

He was being tackled and hit the ground hard. Ref blew him for over carrying. He was in immediate bother with the should when he hit the ground

Was there only 6k at the match in the park yesterday?

That was some mismatch. It was no benefit to KK, Offaly and their supporters. The GAA has got the intercounty games so wrong and attendances will get worse. What was wrong with the way it was, attendances were good, TV coverage was decent. If it's not broken don't fix it.

Stop fooling about with this league style, if you lose more than one game you should be gone. There was a time I would watch for example the Connacht football final on TV, now I've no interest and others I've spoken to feels the same.

The way the gaa schedule matches is a joke. Everything on yesterday, kilkenny match, clare tipp and ulster final all on together. Louth meath at 4 today and very little in the 2pm slot.

Harry gone for a month.unfortunate for himself.

Ulster final was scheduled for 1.45 today on RTE but it got moved as there was a commitment to have Ulster ladies final before it, a 11.30 start for that was deemed unsatisfactory, definitely should have moved Clare v Tipp or a Leinster game to 2 today instead.

The women are going to cause havoc for the gaa with these demands. They want equal rights even though their games attract miniscule attendances.

Integration won't be as easy as some think

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 109 ✭✭Sir Chaz

One club seems fantastic in theory, but unless you're the likes of the Village with 4 full sized pitches, it's going to be a huge challenge. Let alone for any club that has LGFA teams as well as Camogie.

We thought there was a bit of a smozzle, thanks for putting us straight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,256 ✭✭✭Billy Ocean

In fairness I don't know if that was an Ulster Council call or LGFA call.

U20’s Wednesday night, minors Saturday and seniors on Sunday. A busy week ahead.

It might sound peculiar but we absolutely need the win against Dublin this Sunday. We havent been tested in the championship yet and all of the 3 games weve played have been poor fare and thats not our problem but i would say we will get a far tougher test on Sunday so its important we are convincing against the dubs. Win and its a Leinster final for us, lose and we have a nail biter against Wexford. Wexford, having lost 2 already, will relish the chance to go level on points with us if we lose v Dublin. This could actually put us in dangeous territory. Having said all of that i fully expect us to get over Dublin with a bit to spare and that will leave Dublin and Galway fighting for a Leinster final spot, depending on who comes out on top on the last day in Parnell park.

Mullen, having gotten a full second half v Offaly, should finally be able to drive on. Not sure about Eoin Cody if he will be available, but Stephen Donnelly has more or less nailed his spot. TJ, Mossy, Mullen, Stephen and John Donnelly and Billy Ryan will surely make up the 6 forwards if Cody is still out. Our 1-9 from the Offaly match will most likely be uinchanged also. At least every match from now on should be competitive, Dublin, Wexford, hopefully Leinster final and who knows after that.

Big week for kk teams. Hopefully the break is managed well for the u20. It's a great opportunity to get to a leinster final u20 and one that's needed at this level.

The seniors have yet to be tested. The match was over after 10 minutes last Saturday. Offally and antrim got through the kk defence easy but it's hard to really gauge them games. I expected much more from offally. Tommy Walsh hurled well. I don't think carey is the awnser at 6 and we should do more to devolop someone else at 6. Shane Murphy should be back in a few weeks but eoin cody is gone for a few weeks with a hamstring. Dublin should be a much stiffer test but they usually struggle playing kk.

I was in town Saturday night before the kk match and plenty of kk supporters stayed in the pubs watching the clare v tipp match. Weather it be right or wrong hurling supporters wanted to watch that match. It's scandalous two crunch matches this wknd and kk v Dublin at 3 o clock in between them. Why couldn't they put the kk match sat evening at 6 o clock.

In Munster i fully expect Limerick and Cork to contest the Munster Final with Tipp coming third and going into the preliminary quater finals. It will probably come down to a head to head between Tipp and Cork for who gets into the Munster Final but as Cork beat Tipp in the head to head they will probably progress.
