    Absolutely stunning day in SCD.
This has been a fantastic run of weather.
What is the forecast for the next 11 days?
Im wondering will we see rain before we disappear to the Canary Islands for 2 weeks! 🤣

lol… it took until the 16th for Collooney to get above 16.8C in July. Its July 2020 mean max was only 16.5C. That is terrible, even for you. Belmullet (on the coast) has a 30 year average over a degree above that, so at least a whole degree below par if not more given Collooney is a bit further inland.

No, I was in Newbridge Demesne, Donabate. Probably won't be at Bective for a long time after getting the perfect conditions there one morning in April.

I'm not much of a hiker so one thing I really love about predictable weather like this is that you can actually plan to climb a mountain on a Saturday and know it will be fine and dry, with the bonus of the boggy parts being dried out too.

Coumshingaun was lovely today. Hopefully I get out one or two more times this summer.

Really and truly today was just unreal. At football pitch for 9am and already great heat in the sun.

It just got better and better thorough out the day with not a cloud in the sky.

The first barbecue for Summer 25 finally occurred today! Just stunning.

Ah Syranbruen you can't beat Newbridge House, that's one of our local haunts along with Malahide Castle!

What an incredible few weeks of weather across the country, waking up to blue skies has been amazing!

Rain looks to have moved further east (cork perspective) on latest charts? Cloud seems more likely with a light shower rather then any heavy rain at this point. Insane period of weather to be honest

You cant beat a bbq...we've already had 3 bbqs this summer and it's only the 11th of May...hopefully a good few more to come

I can see rain on the radar to the west but nothing here yet except clouds. I could do with an hour of drizzle because the 40+ trees I planted last year are suffering a little. Our golf course is also parched.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Any thundery downpours could lead to some flash flooding between now and Tuesday with the ground being so dry in places.

Reversals in temps today with the East doing well, was just out around the garden there in a short sleeve shirt and coolish ( although recovering from Covid over the last few days so a bit delicate 😁, quick turnaround thankfully ) 14.8C atm, cloud at about 6/8 with sunny bursts and breezy, wind directions all over the place but a N' ly component to it here bringing it down a notch today, Rain holding off, don't expect much here in the SW, amounts look small in general.

That's just hitting me now, north Wicklow. Was hot and sunny a minute ago. Looks like the weather to return to sunny from tomorrow.

So the period from Wednesday to Sunday will likely be the peak of this spell reaching 24c before the cold weather returns and more unsettled.

Where are you getting this forecast from?

The latest ECM has high pressure and above average uppers in charge up until the end of its run in 10 days' time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,453 ✭✭✭pauldry

GFS. So itl either be freezing or warm. One has to be right but GFS has the green blob of doom .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,453 ✭✭✭pauldry

Norwegian Met Office go for all out sun too. Hopefully GFS wrong.

21°c at Derry Airport and only 9°c at Knock Airport at 3:50/4pm. Big difference.

It's quite ironic that in the last week or so here in Germany the weather's been identical if not a tad cooler than back home!

Cloudy now in Dublin but still so lovely and warm.

18c here in carrick, rain will appear this evening but not much

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,453 ✭✭✭pauldry

11c in Sligo with sea mist at times. Apparently 23c this coming week. Hope the Low disintegrates as forecast but I think it might hang around until near the end of the week. Probably not much rain from it just nuisance.

Could really do with some rain here in Wicklow, think there has been none for May so far here...
