I don't know the specifics of Hobgoblin in Ireland, but there was a big shake-up at Carlsberg UK last year and the import arrangement could have been affected by that.

Tried it within the last 6 months. Very watery, no depth of taste.
I'd live with the memory.

They have it in my local Supervalu, with a new label, and a new price! Used to be about 2 quid, up to 3.50 now. Was one of my favourite beers, but haven't had it in a while, mostly cause of the price increase.
