You’re dead right Chaz I think the Dubs will give Offaly a right go in the U20.

Oisin Henderson is crazy athletic. So different to anything Kilkenny have produced in a long time.

as people probably guess by the user name I’m an expatriate but try to keep in touch with all things Kilkenny and watch and listen to as much as I can

Seems like a lot of the good work by Mike fennelly and company is coming to fruition after a relatively short spell don’t want to count any chickens or put undue pressure on those young minors but looks like a very Pacey strong minor team May right a few wrongs from last year acknowledging it’s not the exact same group but there’s a good percentage of them there still

Keep the posts rolling in lads love to read all the news

KK minors with a good win on a very tight pitch. 3 points from the halfback line,4 points from midfield,2.15 from the half forwards and 3 points from the full forward line,Jake Mullen 1-07 all frees was highest scorer. Ollie OnDonovan 1-03 from play was next highest.

Thanks Marrooned. Missed the match but that's an informative post

I heard the Dubs have to play Westmeath and the winners have to play KK in a Leinster semi final.

I see John Kiely issuing a rallying call to Limerick supporters for next weekend. Why has Ly g or a prominent ex Kilkenny hurler ever done likewise?

U15s had a facile enough win over Tipperary today. Very strong team with some excellent individual hurlers.

was that the Arrabawn tournament or the John Doyle mooz?

Camogie team had a protest today about the skorts issue and lined up wearing shorts, just like their opponents Dublin. Ref told the captains to change or the match is abandoned. Both teams changed. Stone age stuff, girls should be allowed to wear shorts and wish both our girls and the Dublin girls had followed through with their protest fully.

I heard that the Celtic challenge quarter final against Waterford was supposed to be on in the park on Saturday, but I should have known better about young players been exposed to crowds, what a bull **** rule it’s encouraging crowds we should be.

Under 16 camogie all Ireland finals in the park all day yesterday

Why was the senior football club final not In Nowlan Park ? County board should be ashamed of themselves

Down gave Kilkenny a walkover in Celtic challenge yesterday and they play Waterford next Saturday

the U20 and minor KK team’s between them have four goalkeepers from the Village?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,606 ✭✭✭Village87

Could do with a few of them back. We are struggling to win any match to date. We have a management team that most Intercounty teams would not come close to.

Anyone have the format or the new senior/intermediate league? Are there any finals, and if so are there semis? And how many teams get promoted and relegated?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 110 ✭✭kkclubhurling

ye can only play one goalie you know…

i don’t think any team will be too worried about games yet, most teams only have a fraction of players available with different things

info sent out in Jan/feb was 2 up 2 down and a final between top 2 I think

Should have stood their ground and not played otherwise what was the point. If they all get together and refuse to play they will win hands down.nearly every girl in the country will join in.Interesting to see what happens as championship coming up.

The Dubs bet Offaly in the U20 championship and Laois bet Wexford .So KK meet the Dubs and Galway meet Laois

. The Dubs don’t look too bad ,although I thought they might put it up to Offaly alright.

Offaly Up 0-8 to 0-3 and we'll on top when the goalkeeper made a shocking mistake. Dubs got confidence and drove on the 2nd half 4 -12 yo 0-17.goals win games

I’m not sure about that Blackcard, I assumed it was Offaly. Just on a side note that was the Laois team that bet us at minor level.

Kilkenny U20s now playing Laois, Wednesday of next week.

    Dublin vs Galway.

Big surprise that Offaly were beaten

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,251 ✭✭✭Billy Ocean

If you believe rumours Offaly got their load management badly wrong, alot of conflict between the u20 and Senior management.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 103 ✭✭Sir Chaz

Offaly looked very poor tonight. Lack of energy and that buzz you normally see with them was non existent. Dubs were better team and deserved the win. Very stop start game 1st half especially.

Fixtures on Leinster GAA website definitely states that it is Kilkenny/Dubs and Galway/Laois semi but you'd think they'd avoid group games being repeated.

Leinster GAA states that it’s KK v Laois on Wednesday 14 May. I was told Portlaoise, maybe they tossed?
