He's moaning again about being 'singled out for inferior treatment' over his security. Does this person ever stop complaining and playing the victim? Its a terrible look. He gets security in the UK, he just has to give 7 days notice and the level will be decided on a case by case basis. He is being treated similarly to other non working royals, he needs to get a grip. He can hardly argue that the UK is less safe than some of the countries he has chosen to travel to on his faux royal tours. This is just another version of whining about not getting the same number of sausages as William. Time to give it up, it's embarrassing.

He stepped down as a working royal, is no longer a senior royal by his own choice, but still wants the perks.

He even mentioned the "high speed car chase" that the NYPD refuted.

Ironically, a "high speed car chase" like the one that they continually claim happened in new york would never happen in the UK anyway because they would never be allowed to travel in such a way (unprotected cars, jumping out and getting into random taxis etc.) So it's pointless to keep referring to it to try and justify his demands

The one thing all this shows is the ridiculous amount of effort the RF machine must have had to use to try and keep Harry appearing somewhat functional as an adult.

    Its beyond parody.

And that's likely true for a lot of them too, it's not a life that would ground you in reality.

So Harry decided to pay a visit to Ukraine today during the war, yet attending a friend's wedding in England was deemed too high risk.

He's hardly making a great case for himself, the aul eejit. He really is completely clueless and blinded by his entitlement

He got an invite during the Invictus games and is there in that capacity. I guess since he was over in the UK for the court case anyway then he chose to fulfil that invite as the patron for Invictus.

Seems like she is trying get a reaction from the RF by using the HRH title again, and posting about it. This is something that the queen insisted on as part of the terms of them leaving. Being ignored must be killing them. Does she not realise it makes her look a bit strange and pretentious yet again though? Who sends a so called "good friend" a gift basket and uses a pre printed, non personalized note using your full formal title? We saw her correct another friend about using the wrong name, maybe she makes them address her as "her royal highness" now too lol. Also not sure how ice cream and runny jam is meant to help out with the in-laws but ok

    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

As a regular contributor to this thread over the years, I have cut back my posts on the basis of I simply “couldn’t be bothered”.

They’re an obvious irrelevance these days - they’ve achieved “privacy” simply because most people are now ignoring them which must be quite a challenge to them - if this is the only way she can get a feature in a newspaper, it’s very telling.

Her “jam” was atrocious looking- a runny mess of meh- even then, it’s arguable only a small batch was produced considering it “sold out”- yeah right. Between Harry’s charity mess (which I reckon will have its own skeletons once the regulator looks at it) - and her ridiculous Netflix series that maybe 3 people have watched, they’re the biggest wannabies and grifters going.

They’ll certainly achieve “privacy” alright- and they’ll hate every minute of it 😀

No luck for Harry in his bid for his old security status.

    Blames Papa.

I might send poor Harry some Jam to cheer him up 😂

From the BBC article valoren linked.

Prince Harry said his father "won't speak to me because of this security stuff", but that he did not want to fight anymore and did not know how long King Charles had left to live.

    Stay classy, Harry.

"There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family," he said, but had now "forgiven" them.

Gosh, I wonder what could have triggered all these disagreements? Not enough sausages maybe? Or perhaps all the public mud slinging Harry and Meghan did for money? How noble to forgive them.

the royal family should tell him to do one. He spent years having a go at his family, and none of us would put up with it from our own family so why should they ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,514 ✭✭✭✭end of the road

well it is papa's fault to be fair.

if him and granmama had listened to his genuine issues then maybe there would be no rift and he wouldn't have had to tell the truth and inform the public about his horrendous treatment at the hands of the institution.

but institution was put before poor harry and we are where we are.

it's unlikely he wants back in as that would cause to many problems for him, it's likely he just wants to make peace with his father incase the worst comes to the worst, which is understandable.

i'm glad he has been able to forgive and make peace given his treatment and shows ultimately he is the good guy i always thought he was.

i wouldn't have blamed him had he not forgiven but he has and i can't in any way fault him for that.

What specifically is he forgiving them for though? He wanted to step down from full time and do it part time. He wanted to be able to go and make a buck. He got to spell out his grievances in a variety of formats and he has been able to sue for security and appeal time and again with nary a word from his immediate family. He still has effective security, the security arrangement the Queen made interventions for on his behalf and his developing situation. That doesn't change. I'm failing to see where forgiveness is warranted. His family seem to have moved on and I doubt his Pa is not speaking to him because of security. Sure wasn't his Pa singing Christmas songs to the kids over Zoom according to their PR a year or two ago? I get the feeling that he wants back in but he is a pariah at this point.

If he did this interview to garner sympathy then I’m afraid it’s not going down very well in the public court of opinion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,514 ✭✭✭✭end of the road

it's for all the treatment he recieved, the violence from his brother and other treatment at the hands of some other members of the rf.

he had no choice but to move away from full time duties given the deranged press.

i think he was actually never going to only do royal duties part time, i think that was just an offer he put forward for the sake of his granmother.

No, harrys a spoiled brat who's been having a years long tantrum over not getting his own way. He's slated his family publicly, made his grandmother's death all about him and Meghan and allowed his "fans" (or whatever they are. Paid bots?) to attack and spread lies about his brother and sister in law when she was going through cancer treatment. No wonder they arent speaking to him, no normal family would put up with that nonsense either. Not to mention he's wasted millions in taxpayers money because he wants to be treated in the same way as the future king when he's really just not that important.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,514 ✭✭✭✭end of the road

    this is not correct.
harry has simply only being telling the truth about his family, the monarchy as a whole, and his treatment.
he is not responsible for what some fans do online, only those individuals are responsible for their own actions, all be it chances are there is some truth to what they are saying.
he is spending millions of tax payer's money to protect himself and his family from the far right in britain who are a huge threat to him, meghan and their children.
he's only spending tax payer's money similar to the rest of the monarchy and rf who are spending tax payer's money.

The Oprah interview went out when his grandfather was dying too.

That's the interview with the racist accusation that they were coy about, later confirmed it was wasn't his grandparents and, later again, downgraded to "unconscious bias".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,649 ✭✭✭ceadaoin.

Other rf members at a similar level to harry don't get the security he is demanding so why should he? Princess Anne had a kidnapping attempt made on her and has never demanded special treatment because of it, she just got on with things. As it is, the threat level will be assessed each time he visits and plans put in place accordingly. He is not being left unprotected like he is trying to portray. He could stay at royal residences and have the highest level of protection but he'd rather stay in hotels, so it doesnt actually seem like he is that worried about security at all. They also don't have any qualms taking paid for trips to actual unsafe countries with government travel warnings against them so it makes zero sense that the UK is somehow less safe than those places. Its just harry being an entitled brat because William got more sausages and security than him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,649 ✭✭✭ceadaoin.

Also his family have literally nothing to do with how much security he gets, it's weird that he doesn't seem to be able to grasp this most basic fact.

They would be guests and receive the highest security detail, also their own security would be allowed be armed and liaise with local security.

Threats are real, If anything happens any of that family what is left of the royal family will get the backlash, just like they did when Diana perished.
