Beautiful day today, which I spent the whole of in a suit, in a van with no air con. It took me two and a half hours to get home as the m50 was a bag of p*ss again.

Got home, sitting in the shade with the window open enjoying the fresh air and something that sounds like a really angry and loud duck is making horrible squaaaak noises right outside my house.

So I can either close the window and boil to death or sit in the cool and listen to something cursing like an amplified sailor in duck language.

My boss asked for a deliverable that normally goes out on a Friday to be done today, and as a result I have spent the ENTIRE day thinking it's Friday.

After a winter of no real problems now after two days of hot weather a load of my finger joints have started playing up with arthritis pains. Bugger!

Wake me up when it's all over.

The bloody ad for a phone cleaner that’s impossible to skip

That must be Nigel with the brie...

People doing sponsored in-video ads on youtube. They used to record them seperately, a bunch in one go, so they would be wearing different clothes and it was super easy, barely an inconvenience to skip to the end when you saw the clothes change back. Now they have gotten wise and must be recording each ad on the same day because the clothes don't change anymore.

When you go over the 2 hour 7 euro hospital car park charge by a few minutes to hit the 10 euro car park charge.

^Hospital parking charges are a TA, charging by the hour even more so, especially when you’ve an appointment rather than visiting someone and you have no control over how long you’ll be

Had a very stressful appointment today, but the car parking was almost as bad. I felt so glad to get out of the hospital and so glad to get out of the car park. Plus 3+ hours travelling. And wasted load of hours of beautiful sunshine.

I attend the hospital on average once every 18 days. On the word of the ward nurse the car parking company put my reg on the free parking list. Then they changed from attendant system to barrier/ticket system. No more free parking. :(

Yeah, you're right. I should ask again rather than complaining on here. :)

The National Lottery ad saying imagine if you won €20,000, and then imagine you won €20,000 the following month, and every month after that for the next 30 years.

You may as well imagine. The EuroDreams has been running for 2 and a half years, and there's not been a single Irish winner of the top prize.

I think there's only been around 6 of the 2nd tier winners, €2,000 a month for 5 years. And half of those were from a guaranteed raffle.

And in the EuroMillions, there's been no Irish winner of the jackpot for over 3 years.

And the prize only goes up to 10k. It doesn't include what they have already won.

Absolutely useless GP was supposed to send a referral letter on my behalf over a month ago to the orthopaedic clinic in the hospital I work in. Not only did she send it to the wrong hospital, when I once again told her what hospital to send it to there’s still no sign of the referral letter in my hospital’s orthopaedic clinic. Honestly, GPs in this country don’t give a toss about you once they have your money.

At the risk of going against the TA, why in god's name are you cleaning your adult offspring's bedroom???

Yeah, "adult son" wasn't the best description and a bit unfair - if he ever reads this. He's 19, so technically adult, but has autism and can't do it himself. I don't mind doing it at all for him but i was surprised at the state of it and how much work it took.

I hand delivered my discretionary medical card application to my GP's office. It contained a cover summary letter of my situation, 7 consultant supporting letters, the application form to be finished with the GP section and a stamped envelope addressed to the dept. All he had to do was fill in his few lines and put it in the post.

    Instead, they lost it.

I'll put another application together but I get weary.
