Problem

    Good day

My wife and I have to work a lot, so when my grandparents can't look after our son, we hire a babysitter. The babysitter is the daughter of a good friend of my wife. Although she's only 15, she's actually very good at her job, it's cheap, and our son loves her. The babysitter likes to take photos, which she's happy to send us to show us everything she's done with our son. Today, there was one of the pictures I'd rather not have seen. The babysitter was at the playground with our son. The playground is about three minutes from our house, and you're usually alone there. The playground isn't the biggest, but it even has a portable toilet. Unfortunately, you can see from the picture she took that our son didn't use it. In the picture she sent us, you can see our son peeing with his pants down on a bush in the middle of the playground. Firstly, I don't think it's good that she didn't send our son to the toilet, but I think it's even worse that she took a picture of it. My wife also thinks he should have gone to the toilet, but she finds the photo extremely cute. I, on the other hand, think that's completely unacceptable. Doesn't that already count as a pedophilic picture? I'd like to hear your opinion on whether I'm being too harsh or not. Also, how should we tell our babysitter that we'd prefer our son to use the toilet without us getting into an argument? She's actually doing a very good job, and the photos she takes of our son are lovely. I look forward to your answers

IIt is about intent! It was an innocent event.

I think you've got a bigger problem David than the photo. Leaving a 15 year old to look after your son all day while you go to work is unacceptable. She also shouldn't be taking your child to the playground. Nowadays 15 year olds are not responsible enough to care for a child - their heads are stuck in their phones all the time. Please find proper childcare. Letting him pee in the playground should be the least of your worries.

Why isn't this 15 year old in school?

Just have a chat with her. Tell her not to do that please. Explain why. Problem solved.

Maybe the toilet was in an absolute state.

Maybe the child held the wee for so long they wouldn't have made it to the toilet.

I wouldn't be too happy myself about the picture, but I seriously doubt the 15 yo mind was going where yours went (if it was she wouldn't have sent you the image)

I'd talk to her and say only take fully clothed pictures.

" The playground isn't the biggest, but it even has a portable toilet. "

    • I would much rather my toddler son pee in a bush than deal with god knows what in a portaloo. My toddler daughter has less options, alas.
