Has Virgin/RTE lost the rights to show English clubs in Champions league ??

As always....you can't win it tonight, but you can lose it.

Fancy Arsenal to get more than something. PSG are a bit on the hype train.

    Ouch....but that is not good

    Proper test of mentality now

Early lead for PSG - lets see how Arsenal get on now. If they come out too much PSG breaking quickly could really finish it tonight.

    What a goal.
    Great finish by dembele.

    That was terrible from Arsenal.

Dembele got the ball on his own in the middle of the park, drives forward and passes it wide.

Then finds himself alone on the edge of the area to strike home when he receives the ball back.

Did he not scuff it in off his shin and into the ground?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,097 ✭✭✭✭tom1ie

Maybe he did, I didn’t notice that.
He done well running at the arsenal defence and getting available for the return pass.
    edit

Not sure he scuffed that at all. Looked like he guided it into the far corner.

    It's a clear yellow FFS

Prime are in full English team support tonight

I cant get the match to work, just keeps looping some crappy preview.

Big pen shout there, no replays yet though.

<edit> the arm was definitely held firmly across Kvara's body alright… would be a bit soft, but you see 'em given plenty often.

Timber in all sorts of trouble. Should be on a yellow now too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,097 ✭✭✭✭tom1ie

    That looked like a pen.
That Georgian lad whose name I won’t attempt to spell looks like a seriously good player.

Nah.....looking for it and not enough in that arm. Arsenal need to be careful here. Big hill to climb if they don't weather this storm.

Timber absolutely should have been booked there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,525 ✭✭✭DellyBelly

Thats a penalty all day ling...he went down easy yes but Timber wrapped his arm around his torso

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,146 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

Absolute penalty there. Arsenal got away with it massively.

    Timber struggling here

Ref being extremely lenient with Timber here

20 gone and Saka hasn't been seen,. Arsenal need him on the ball to cause some trouble.

Timber again - kicks through for another foul - ridiculous he hasn't been booked.

    Better few mins for Arsenal

Time wasting on their own setpieces again

Arteta should be sacked tonight if the tie looks done. What he has done to potentially a great team by turning them into Wimbledon is a disgrace. 2 years ago they were so exciting to watch

Arsenal like Liverpool in their tie, are really struggling with the pace and intensity of this PSG side. Theyre so quick in transitions, it's almost impossible to commit forward against them, give the ball away cheaply and you're goosed!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,128 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

    Brilliant Defending

What is Clattenberg talking about ?

I've frequently seen refs point like that to indicate the ball was won

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,847 ✭✭✭facehugger99

God I hate having to listen to Mark Clattenburg.

    Absolutely stealing a living.

PSG definitely playing the exact same game plan as leg 1 Vs Liverpool. They are like lightning and strangely don't seem to wear out towards the end at all.

    Uunbelievable tackle by Neves..

I said it that night. They reminded me of Klopps prime Liverpool team, just relentless pace up front and constantly on the front foot. It's so difficult play against teams like that...
