Wasn't someone getting a prize yesterday if Tegan was lynched? I'd like to hear more on that but it also shows there are things going on that we don't know about

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,118 ✭✭✭Frank WW

I think Angus was killed becasue of working out Tegan was a wolf and showed that they were a very good player. It was a great call and frighten the jeepers in the wolves.

I get it ofc and glad you're bringing it up. There are too many things going on so it's easy to miss. Take it or leave it I was mechanic highlighting for the village from my first post and in on Tegan from day 1 as I think he's as Wolfy as it gets. If I'm a wolf I'm a bad one.

    Conor. See here...

Your call Conor, but I think the vote switch, the prize etc are in danger of becoming a sideshow...

Which side of the fence do you fall on regarding Conor?

I feel option A is far more likely.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,056 ✭✭✭Abigail WW

    @Senan WW

Not trying to dissuade you, but I'd read manipulation and think vote tampering too. You might be right about Fiona, but I don't think your logic is right on this particular aspect. To be fair, you seem a long way from tunnelling on it though, so I think you're good

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 1,078 ✭✭✭Senan WW

My point is you accurately highlighted it straight away, when it was far from clear that vote changing was in the OP. It seems more like an unconscious decision to highlight it rather than an out and out mistake.

I like the cut of Wendy's gib

Operative #1 aka @Derry WW : Alias not yet identified. Observed engaging in clandestine meetings outside standard Strike Team venues. Not registered in any known LAPD files.

Operative #2 aka @Vernon WW : Believed to be operating under deep cover, potentially inserted by federal authorities or a competing criminal syndicate.

    Then:

It remains unclear whether these players are working for Mackey’s interests, against them, or merely exploiting the chaos for personal gain. Only the covert investigators, who are on a need to know basis will know their true intentions.

    Best-case assessment:

They are embedded law enforcement assets gathering evidence for federal RICO charges.

    Worst-case:

They are in fact Strike Team members, Mackey himself has been known to have multiple aliases.

    Then

    Recommendations:

    1. Surveillance Priority: Immediate increase in monitoring of all Strike Team communications and activities with emphasis on third-party contacts.

    2. Undercover Deployment: Consider placing a loyal undercover operative within their peripheral operations to better assess threat vectors. Gilroy has embedded himself strongly within The Barn, this may unearth him

    3. Psychological Pressure: Apply indirect pressure (e.g., leak fabricated intel) to force the unknown operatives to reveal loyalties through reaction patterns. This should be considered strongly.

Point 1 - what are third party contacts? Angus mentioned being third party in one of their posts. Did Angus get information that Tegan is a wolf?

Point 2 - How do we place an undercover operative? "Gilroy has embedded himself strongly within The Barn, this may unearth him" - is Gilroy doing something on thread we need to look out for, I.e., communicating with the Strike Team on thread rather than having access to the back room?

Point 3 - how to we apply psychological pressure to @Derry WW and @Vernon WW? Would the 2 of you be prepared to face an interrogation from the rest of us?

Derry - "Alias not confirmed" could explain why he isn't registered in any known LAPD files if he's a wolf.

Vernon - is it likely there's a competing criminal syndicate? 3 Strike Team members, possibly 4, and Ben. If there's another criminal syndicate at play we're vastly outnumbered.

Just a reminder again that "the barn" isn't the wolf hideaway, we are all in the barn, good and bad

On your last point, the win conditions seem clear enough, its an us versus them

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,715 ✭✭✭Fiona WW

I highlighted it because it read like that to me. Make of that what you will.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,377 ✭✭✭Brendan WW

Why did you vote for Conor?

You thought he had a prize if Tegan was yeeted, you didn't vote for Tegan because you thought Conor might have to have the last vote cast. I presume Conor could have revoted late if that was the case?

Then later you mentioned remembering a mechanism in a different game where whoever voted last for a player in the yeet would die instead.

Which reason was it? Do you believe Conor would have won a prize for the village if Tegan had been yeeted? Why didn't you take the risk of dying if you thought Conor could have gotten a prize useful to the village?

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 5,361 ✭✭✭Conor WW

I don't know anything about the vote switch other than assuming it was a wolf power because I know 100% that I voted for Tegan and not for Angus.

Here's some more context to my role which hopefully will help the village: every day I need to choose a player by 6pm who I think will be lynched; if they are lynched then I get a prize; if they're not, then I don't. No extra conditions attached. I have no idea what the prizes are but I'd assume that they're random.

The reason I revealed when I did last night was because I had chosen Tegan before 6pm and when the voting was going that way, I decided it was worth the risk of revealing to win the prize.

Similarly this evening, I'll need to lock someone in by 6pm - that's not to say that the village can't collectively change our mind later and decide to lynch someone else, it's just that there'll be no prize if we do.

I asked both to provide explanation earlier but no reply as of yet

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,056 ✭✭✭Abigail WW

Well that's a claim I like, because tonight's yeet seems like a foregone conclusion so it's very easy to prove. You can pick Tegan again today, yeah?

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 5,361 ✭✭✭Conor WW

Yes, that's who I'm currently on; I have until 6pm to change

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,715 ✭✭✭Fiona WW

Any idea what you can do with the prize?

Like that Connor post a lot.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,377 ✭✭✭Brendan WW

I think Tegan is a wolf and the wolves have a limited-use power to prevent a lynching (or maybe this is Tegan-specific power where she can't be lynched and it'll happen again tonight?

How likely is it that a wolf can't be yeeted ever in the game? If the only option to kill them is a vig shot what would happen if the vig is yeeted or munched?

The rest of the wolves could just open wolf and let Tegan take it to 1:1 parity, I don't think that's likely at all.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,056 ✭✭✭Abigail WW

Maybe reverse tunnelling in trying to protect Conor here but, if he's telling the truth, the reason for the vote switch is probably the wolves thinking his prize might be for voting on wagon etc, that maybe moving the vote would disqualify him from the prize. Assuming they knew the Tegan yeet would fail there was zero reason to move anyone else's vote and a sliver of a reason to move his

I'm saying this hoping he can basically prove his story post-yeet

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 1,078 ✭✭✭Senan WW

Conor, if successful with your prize keep it to yourself what it is until you need to use it.

Less the wolves know the better

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 1,078 ✭✭✭Senan WW

I agree it's unlikely, esp with what appears to be 5 wolves.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,132 ✭✭✭Gabriel WW

Can you point to that win condition in the OP please. There is a section called "win conditions", but i don't see it there. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 5,361 ✭✭✭Conor WW

That's a fair point - maybe only the first Yeet fails then?

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,258 ✭✭✭Clodagh WW

Just reading back on the two reports from Kavanagh.
In the first Shane, Ronnie & "Lemmy" are all name checked, it definitely suggests four wolves before we get to Ben.

It says "Further investigation into Strike Team advised each night. Further reports may be forthcoming." - I presume this refers to what we got today, Kavanagh's second report. I'd also guess some villager is requesting these and nominating two people. We should probably think about options for tomorrow and make suggestions. Steve and Conor would be my top choices.

"Black-bag operation approved. Team assembly in progress" - I wonder is this just flavour? Either way I doubt we'll know until it actually happens.

From today:Best-case assessment:They are embedded law enforcement assets gathering evidence for federal RICO charges.Worst-case:They are in fact Strike Team members, Mackey himself has been known to have multiple aliases.
You could read this that they two lads are cleared UNLESS they are Vic and showing good instead of evil.

That's the third time you've mentioned moving house, did you not move on Subday?

If there is someone working between both the wolves and village then they may have a win condition separate to both parties , just noting that down
