Why me? Why not the others?

All I know is it looks like we've caught a wolf. Could be a bluff, double bluff etc, either way Tegand posts should be considered bullpoo

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,258 ✭✭✭Clodagh WW

Yes I'm assuming the wolves blocked the lynch, that's why I said "It looks safe to assume that the wolves blocked the lynch last nite".

And yes if the wolves are discussing that Angus's role was because that's now this game works.

I know this probably feels like a gotcha moment for you but it's not

True, but maybe not without attracting attention...

But I do see your point

That's my point. If they all voted for someone else they couldn't be sure of saving Tegan so instead they blocked the lynch.

And before you say something ridiculous like "you seem to know an awful lot about wolves" - this is my theory. You're welcome to subscribe to it or come up with a counter theory

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,355 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

conor, why the vote on angus last night?

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,258 ✭✭✭Clodagh WW

Blocking a lynch is going to attract attention no matter when you do it.

So either you do it to save a wolf or you do it so we spend the following day only focused on the person who was saved.

I'm hoping it's the former. If it's the latter it's a great move

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,355 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

i think i'd prefer a vig shot on tegan rather than a lynch. wagonomics from night 1 is shite, and another policy lynch tonight will result in the same.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,715 ✭✭✭Fiona WW

Agreed. Let's be done with him now, wasting a lynch sets us back.

I don't work off gotcha moments.

I was coming at it from a different angle, so wanted to get another perspective which you have given, so I appreciate that.

I still just think a wolf goes on that Tegan wagon as I think they thought the numbers would have been greater than what we ended up with.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,258 ✭✭✭Clodagh WW

That could well be the case, like I said it's just for today and these things are fluid.

In the absence of a vig shot what do we do with Tegan? We'll have no wagonomics but the old adage is catch a wolf, kill a wolf

Hopefully it will resolve itself before lynch

    Internal Affairs Division

    Official Report

    Report Number: IA-5257

    Author: Lt. John Kavanaugh

    Date: April 28, 2025

Subject: Preliminary Investigation into Two Unknown Operatives — Strike Team Infiltration

    ---

    Executive Summary:

This document constitutes a preliminary report into two individuals who our investigators last night believed to have inserted themselves into Strike Team operations. Intelligence suggests these actors are influencing outcomes, or, more dangerously, are covert allies in ongoing criminal enterprises involving Detective Vic Mackey and associates. They may even be Strike Team members under false aliases.

The Strike Team, already implicated in widespread corruption, theft, and murder are key to all of this. The players’ true allegiances remain uncertain — whether they are corrupt assets, informants, or rival interests.

    ---

    Known Facts:

Strike Team Current Status: Active. Suspected in racketeering, drug trafficking, homicide, and obstruction of justice.

Operative #1 aka @Derry WW : Alias not yet identified. Observed engaging in clandestine meetings outside standard Strike Team venues. Not registered in any known LAPD files.

Operative #2 aka @Vernon WW : Believed to be operating under deep cover, potentially inserted by federal authorities or a competing criminal syndicate.

Both individuals were investigated last night as they appeared to show advanced knowledge of Strike Team movements, exhibit tactical acumen, and possess potential influence over team decision-making.

    ---

    Observations:

Tactical Behavior: Both operatives have demonstrated strategic patience — avoiding direct confrontation but steering events behind the scenes.

Psychological Profile: Early profiling suggests high levels of adaptability, loyalty manipulation, and a potential for double-agent behavior.

Operational Impact: Their presence creates an unstable environment within the Strike Team’s ranks, amplifying paranoia and increasing the likelihood of mistakes.

    ---

    Analysis:

It remains unclear whether these players are working for Mackey’s interests, against them, or merely exploiting the chaos for personal gain. Only the covert investigators, who are on a need to know basis will know their true intentions.

    Best-case assessment:

They are embedded law enforcement assets gathering evidence for federal RICO charges.

    Worst-case:

They are in fact Strike Team members, Mackey himself has been known to have multiple aliases.

    ---

    Recommendations:

    1. Surveillance Priority: Immediate increase in monitoring of all Strike Team communications and activities with emphasis on third-party contacts.

    2. Undercover Deployment: Consider placing a loyal undercover operative within their peripheral operations to better assess threat vectors. Gilroy has embedded himself strongly within The Barn, this may unearth him

    3. Psychological Pressure: Apply indirect pressure (e.g., leak fabricated intel) to force the unknown operatives to reveal loyalties through reaction patterns. This should be considered strongly.

How do we go about undercover deployment?

    Derry looks dodge

If the wolves have the power to block the lynch, then it's a very strong power that they'd have a limited amount of IMO. If it is a limited power, there's no way they waste that on a villager

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,056 ✭✭✭Abigail WW

The latter crossed my mind but surely it's a single use power they have, if so I don't think they waste it. Tegan is a wolf, it's basically guaranteed.

Just on whether they could vote elsewhere to save Tegan, I think only 9/16 had declared, so it probably wasn't possible to coordinate that

Taking the 9 from this post by Conor...

I've Brendan and Wendy on my good list tbh both are giving me villager vibes

I still just think a wolf goes on that Tegan wagon as I think they thought the numbers would have been greater than what we ended up with.

The flip (pun intended) of that is that the wolves may have thought there'd be a pile on on Tegan so we'd work through the Tegan voters and it was safer being on a throwaway vote

"This document constitutes a preliminary report into two individuals who our investigators last night believed to have inserted themselves into Strike Team operations. Then

"Only the covert investigators, who are on a need to know basis will know their true intentions."

Kind of implies a villager "seer" requested this info and hopefully knows more

Operative #1 aka @Derry WW : Alias not yet identified. Observed engaging in clandestine meetings outside standard Strike Team venues. Not registered in any known LAPD files.

That seems to imply Derry isn't a known character

Operative #2 aka @Vernon WW : Believed to be operating under deep cover, potentially inserted by federal authorities or a competing criminal syndicate.

Seems to imply Vernon isn't Strike Force?

I'd go village lean on the pair of them after that. Anyone got any other thoughts? I'm always worried I'm missing something in a post like that one

Still not sure how to treat it

Genuinely don't know what this is about but suggest resolving me after Tegan. There was already a wagon on me yesterday, I will just muddy the waters if I stick around.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,357 ✭✭✭Tegan WW

    I agree

I don't know how I am still here

It is a shame to lose Gusy

Hard to know if that IA post is just flavour, it seems unlikely though since it explicitly mentions two players. Perhaps it's related to someone's role and this information makes sense to that person and it's up to them how to best use it.

I wouldn't be drawing any alignment indication from it though, the post itself outlines best & worst case scenarios so I presume either is possible.

@Vernon WW, @Derry WW, can you shed any light on this or what's your take on why you are mentioned here?
