No. 15, Barry Walsh from Killeagh won that game for Cork tonight. I don't think he missed a single free.

Exciting end. Corks subs seemed to push us over the line at the end.

I think I said after the last game that Barry Walsh is almost ready for Senior already and Timmy Wilk was immense tonight also. Some display of free taking from Walsh.

Showed great character to win that game away from home.

Barry Walsh (15) is ready for senior as is Timmy Wilk (4) who may have played senior already.

Barry Walsh with 10 and Timmy with 1-02 - he revelled in being the spare man for alot of the game.

Overall, we were worth the win. Waterford next week.

Is the Cork v Waterford minor game tomorrow night being streamed anywhere?

    Thanks.

    Fine team.

Cork 1-7 Waterford 0-9 HT. Goal coming from a fumble of a long ball by the Waterford keeper. tricky conditions in fairness

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,828 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Cork up by a point at HT. We got a very lucky goal from the keepers mistake but then again he saved a certain goal earlier. This ref is driving me mad. He keeps giving out frees for any contact at all. There was a foul on the Waterford player as he passed it but he brings them back for the free. No advantage given. We didn't score for about 10 mins as well so I hope to see us improve in the second half.

Waterford goal on 40 min put them 3 up but we have responded brilliantly, 6 points without reply has us 3 up after 50 min

Good last 10 to pull away for another win. Ref loved his whistle. Deane and O'Sullivan with around 8 each. Deane in particular looked very sharp,

    Cork win by 6

Fair dues to the ref, its like he read my post as he started allowing the advantage a lot. Someone must have said something to him. I hoped we would improve and we did. Even after their goal, we went on and outscored them 11 points to 2. Cormac Deane with 8 points from play is some prospect as well as Craig O'Sullivan on frees getting 9.

A very strong minor team and into Munster final with a game to spare!

In Ladies football today, a loss for Cork at home to Kerry

    Munster Senior Championship

    Cork 0-10 (10) Kerry 1-13 (16)

Cork took over 10 mins to register their opening score and Kerry had 1-3 by then. Cork rallied from then on, but that remained the difference in the end.

frank and walters went off after 7-8 mins, not sure what happened

Taken the goal chances well and have a comfy lead but a fair bit of sloppiness in this first half. Tipp just haven’t capitalised on all their chances. Should be able to see this out easily with the extra man but would love to see us put the boot down for some of the second half and not get dragged into off the ball crap.

Hope Rob Downey’s injury isn’t bad.

Same old Cork, taking the foot off the gas when winning well. We just can't go for the juggler when we are winning well. You get a heart attack watching them being so sloppy.

Cork need to get the boys on yellow off at ht. Wont loose this with 15

Hopefully, would be back for limerick. Thought it might have been a rib but he was limping.

We have Tipp right where we want them. No let up in the second half now.

Cork have no right to be so cocky...just take the points and stop these crazy passes that aren't on
