Was there a Munster boot to the head there?

we are being out played and out coached by a bunch of lads that went bankrupt this year.. I'm sick of this sh!t..

disaster of a season, I accept the high injury count.. still not good to witness.

that was very close, the shot from behind shows the ball bouncing away from his hands as he's there. Think it was a very dicey call, and more to the point, if it was a penalty, then surely it would warrant a potential penalty try, given Haley was the only defender between the Cardiff player and the line?

Consistency of ridiculous interpretation is hardly something to be celebrated.

Their confidence looks shot. If I was to pin it, it would be the lineout falling apart v Bordeaux

Ah I think the Cardiff player would have struggled to regather the ball anyway.

The ball bounced away from Haley but he completely gave up on it and just focused on charging the Cardiff player.

Shocking that we cant get out of our own half the last 10 mins!

The lineout has been an issue all season. The game v leinster in croker it was as if leinster were throwing in on munsters behalf.

Munster's kicking (outside of Casey) is so poor. Their attacking shape is offering no questions to the Cardiff defense at all.

Serious risk of challenge cup next year now. The group have really failed to deliver. Good luck Clayton

No penalty for not rolling away in that last phase. The inconsistency is infuriating.

Cardiff well deserved win. Munster had nothing for them

Very frustrating performance. Lineout is pathetic, attack is direction less.

With the retirees there is a rebuild of culture and approach next season ..... But so disappointing

You'd be fed up watching us. Everything is flat.raely break lines. I'd be questioning prendergast at this stage

As well as all the rest of their foot-shooting, the yellow cards Munster gave away were idiotic and cost them dearly.

Casey is head and shoulders the best player on that Munster team at the moment.

This has been one depressing season. It's gone from bad to worse. Hopefully new manager can help to turn things around somewhat. Be lucky to get top 8

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,775 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

Beirne is a world class player lads. World class.

But maybe take him off lineout calls and a new captain next year. You have to manage the referee. You have to establish a line in and set up a relationship. Then you start getting calls.

A failure to make the top 8 won't be down to games like tonight. It will be down to the powers that be sacking the coach and then the forwards coach leaving after 5 games and neither being replaced.

Can we still get through with 2 wins in last 2 games?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,775 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

Prendergast needs front foot ball. We do not have enough carriers. Coombes/hodnett. That's pretty much it. None of our tight 5 are big carriers.

We can. We're up against it tho. Last season like this was probably around 10 years ago where we had to beat Scarlets on the last day to secure our Champions Cup spot…

    Faletau was excellent.

    It depends on other results

We're 7th but Stormers, Scarlets, Ulster and Connacht all have a chance at leapfrogging us this weekend, realistically Scarlets and Connacht are unlikely to but Stormers and Ulster have a good chance

We would then be 9th in the table so to climb up we would need other results to go our way as well as winning

Donnelly looks capable of it, as does Milne. Oddly enough Josh W has makes ground on carries.

Kleyn was a massive loss for a chunk of the season. Edogbo too, he has massive oomph.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,775 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

16 games and 9 losses right? That's so poor.

    Been a desperate season

Both Munster's final two games are potential "10 pointers" in that they are against teams directly competing for the final spots.

I'd still back Munster relatively heavily to do it, but it does look worryingly like a contagion his kicked in. They will desperately need the week off.

I don't think it's a stretch to say If the lineout was at least functional in the last two weeks we wouldn't be talking about how Munster make top 8, it's been a mess
