Is there an adaptor/extender for a plug socket?

got an outdoor socket installed in an outdoor room (watertight)

Want to put in a timer switch but it won’t fit into the socket (I don’t need to close the lid of the outdoor socket)

just wondering if there’s such a thing as a small adaptor / extender that will be an inch or two depth that I can plug into the OS and then plug the timer plug into that? Just to bring out the socket enough that the timer switch will fit
