    Something very profound must have happened there to warrant the complete closure of the place. In normal circumstances in your typical Irish setup , be it church , sports club, etc, etc, etc, etc, certain constraints would be put in place and a committee would be set up to carry out an enquiry to establish the facts and go from there.
    The kind of thing that would lead to a sudden and complete closure of the a similar Irish situation wold be an occurrence such as a devastating fire.
