Some strange suggestions floating around! I don't care who killed her at this stage but if they had any cop on they would make it McCabe and was she involved with Tylers case? Either way they probably decided who it was the night before they filmed. It would be good if it was McCabe and Tyler was her puppet for the rest of the stuff, that would be a good twist.

My money is on Ray and Nora, Laura called Ray smelly arse or are something.

McCabe would easily make sense. And her using Tyler to do her bidding would fit in too since she has form for using criminals to do her dirty work. Plus she'd probably have the contacts to be able to abuse PULSE and whatever other system to keep tabs on the Halpins. The problem there is that McCabe hasn't been on the show in about 18 months so it'd be a bit of an anti-climax if she was behind it.

Unless she has been on the show the entire time and they do a Scooby Doo type reveal where Tyler gets arrested and they pull off his realistic mask to reveal McCabe underneath all along

Why is Joan so concerned about her reputation? Isn't it common knowledge she put out a hit on Dermot, coerced a false witness statement out Zoe and also leaked revenge pornography of Zoe when she backed out of the false witness statement? And isn't it common knowledge that she falsified legal documents of a made up person in Donegal to give Gar his fake inheritance? She's been openly talking about the money she gave him recently. On top of all that everyone knows she works out of a shared office that's never locked and has zero confidentiality. She also represents one client and then often represents the people that sued her previous client. So sod all regard for conflict of interest.

Taking all that into account, the community still hire her on a regular basis. So why would she be concerned if anyone thought she was conspiring with her boyfriend and his ex wife to hoodwink her current client?

Apparently his illness has gotten worse so that's probably the reason he didn't say anything.

It's not much of a twist if it doesn't make sense. I'll keep an open mind but the writers need to do a lot of explaining to make it make sense. I might be wrong, but I thought the Gardai got a warrant to get the phone records from Laura's Croatian phone so they'd see she texted Mark on the day. Also wouldn't they have checked Mark and Damo's phone records as standard procedure as people are most likely to be killed by someone they know. And they'll need to explain how Mark was able to dissappear from Galway for a prolonged period of time and his wife not question why it lines up with the date of his sister's murder. From looking at the text messages it seems like it wasnt pre-meditated murder since the exchanged was very jovial between Mark and Laura so there'd have been no reason for Mark to hide from his wife that he was collecting his sister who flew in from Croatia and both were going to surprise their brother. Also Mark had the cop on to dispose of the clothes he was wearing on the day but not to delete the texts from the day of the murder? Not that deleting them from the phone means they're irretrievable anyway. The texts on the phone look they were sent around 7pm. Which means Mark collected her later than that. Wouldn't it be pitch dark in early Jan so a witness remembering seeing someone they know (Laura) from a distance and describing someone else's clothing (Mark or Tyler) from the same distance on a dark night in Jan 15 months ago seems a bit far fetched. Fair enough there might have been street lighting but distance and the length of time elapsed since make it seem implausible.
