I really dislike having to repeat what the orange s**mb*g in office in the USA says but he is quite clearly parroting putin sponsored disinformation:

    image.png

Crimea being annexed by putin's forces in no way simply involved it being handed over. Saying they took over without a shot being fired is really lapping up to the kremlin version of history and it is a stain on the USA to vote in to their highest political office someone either as malicious enough to lie about this or gullible enough to swallow putin's lies so readily. As one example of how this is just another Trump lie:

Trump deserves the brazen bull execution for his crimes against humanity

Imagine if you wake up tomorrow and Putin has died from a heart attack, wouldn't it be a grand day

    Trump would be devastated.

Personally I think with zero USA support starting let's say in June Ukraine wouldn't lose any territory west of the Dnipro by the time Trumps out of office.

I think they'd take a chunk of Kharkiv, Zaporozhye, Sumy and Donetsk oblasts but still wouldn't have conquered most of what's east of the Dnipro.

In the next 3 years both European and Ukrainian weapons production will increase quite a bit. It's always a big blow losing USA support but Ukraine will survive.

Zelenski's only strategy now should be to play trump along for as long as possible making him think a deal is possible as long as weapons keep arriving. If that means an extra 2 months or 6 months of support then so be it, every little helps.

What will confirm trump being an agent for me is if he refuses to even sell military support for Ukraine. Damaging American exports while helping Russia in the fight.

Unreal that the rules are not laid down to Putin, the war is on Ukrainian soil , and only on Ukrainian soil, and France, UK, Germany , Italy, and the rest of the willing are going in to free this land, and if as much as one bullet is fired into any Nato country, the war will end up on Russian soil!

    There's your fcking deal Putin!

The only reason I can see of why a POTUS is capulating to a Russian president is the Vlad has serious dirt on him . Enough that the civil service agree to it . Trump is the best agent the KGB Haversian had

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,658 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

But what could dirt even do? He's untouchable now pretty much and he'd just shout fake news, AI video etc etc.

The only dirt would be that he's been working for them as an agent in which case they'd never reveal it because they just out their agent. Even if they did Trump would just use the tactics above anyway.

    Edit:

Can I just say though that if Trump is going to pull all support on Ukraine then Ukraine won't sign a 100BN rare earth mineral deal with them. So that leads me to believe he'll continue some sort of military aid and brand it as they're paying us for the weapons with minerals.

yes . But he’s doing that for Russian benefit . The golden shower stories didn’t come of nowhere . I know it’s a ploy to get Ukraine’s Minerals. He’s a Del Boy in a suit but Americans can’t see that

Del boy at least had morals and a sense of guilt.

Huge strikes by Russian terror forces last night right across Ukraine. Seems even naval units from black sea also involved. Time for Ukraine to go hunting again.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

no wonder Trump has found Putin very easy to deal with when he is giving him ALL THE TOYs that he has snatched + control over the Black Sea and no guarantees to UKR re its sovereignty, etc, etc, etc.

And he found VZ hard to deal with!!!!!!!!!!!

American was not neutral from the beginning, shifted 100% from supporting Ukr to supporting Ru ????%. It is TOTALLY unsuited as a negotiator

There is a PRECIDENT . Imagine the US trying to be a mediator between Gaza/West Bank to settle ‘things up’ while at the same time arming Israel to the hilt and supporting its budget akso

Another few months and his idiocy will be legendary. The BS alarms are going off on a daily basis now…

It looks like history is starting up again.

I have noticed in recent weeks that Trump looks a little wan and pasty-faced…

yeah . With Ukraine it’s all about Russia having a warm water port that isn’t frozen for 6 months. Israel it’s about money . Try getting a blt during Passover in New York

Not sure how strong the appetite is in the EU for active military involvement. Putin has done a very good job of destabilising the social fabric in the West through incitement of culture wars leading to the rise of political parties and leaders who seem intent on undermining what had been key tenets of European freedoms. See further the increasing struggles against right leaning/ Putin sympathising parties in France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia and Hungary. It's easy to call for boots on the ground, but I'd say Putin would in a way welcome that as a) it would give him something concrete with which to galvanise his population and cement his power and b) he's probably confident that in time it would lead to the fracturing of the EU from the ground up as the appetite among the populace for war and their willingness to endure any deprivation of privileges just wouldn't be there.

Could it be just as simple as Biden being pro Ukraine and Trump just wanting to be the opposite of that? Nearly every Trump presser, no matter what topic, seems to have a negative statement on Biden/Democrats…

This is not just about Ukraine though. There is a very real fear in the likes of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, Georgia etc that Putin will invade in the next few years. This is not just paranoia or hysteria - they reckon Putin is nuts enough to do it, especially if he views Europe as too fractured to respond militarily. A full scale military invasion of Ukraine and attempt to take Kyiv would have sounded utterly bonkers four or five years ago.

Forgot who said it recently (I think was an MP from Liberal party in UK) but the farther west one goes in Europe the more the heads of state and governments in charge have forgotten that the key purpose of a state is ensuring defence and integrity of said state and then maintaining and growing economy

Hard to do both when being invaded (or neighbours and allies are)

Any money spent on health, social etc causes goes instantly down the drain when attacked, and we live in a world where attacking smaller neighbours is no longer even blinked at between Putin’s war, Chinese desires on Taiwan and now Trumps Canada and Greenland invasion threats

The old world we grew up under is gone, no amount of sneering or hoping or burying heads in sand bring it back

A mate of mine is Lithuanian, told me everyone got a gun licence in the post recently. Government has heavily subsidised shooting ranges and are opening up more every week. They're taking the Russian threat seriously.

Merely an unfortunate they're/their confusion there, I hope…

I think if Putin had any ideas on those countries he would done it by now. Sure with the war in South Ossetia and Abkhazia he could have invaded the whole of Georgia then but didn’t.
