When they're contacting your references so they ask you to list your references first or do they just contact them based off your application?

Only got the email this week regarding the clearance. The closing date for having the bits in is next week so I’d say it’ll only start then.

I got my results last week. I got in the 60s in batch 6. Anyone who is in batch 5 how long did it take from hearing order of Merit to getting offered a job?

Where are the jobs? Is it still IPO?

It’s pretty relaxed most of the time apart from dressing in a suit for auditing or meeting tax payers. Maybe best to dress up a little for the first week and get a vibe of the office you’re in. But a Shirt and chinos for a guy would be more then enough.

Wonder what the chances are of them extending this competition past the closing date. Am I correct in saying it ends in June or July.

A friend of mine is an AP and in civil service 17 years. She said panel wont close end of June. It will def extend. They need people in all depts. They wont want to have to redo this process all over again. So im hoping shes right

Update on batch 5 clearance. I have contacted +clearancemailbox@publicjobs.ie and they're currently approaching OOM 60 (post interview) to begin the clearance process.

Hi, have you been asked for proof of qualifications already? And have you started the garda check process already? Im from batch 5 and have only been asked for proof of qualifications. Still nothing else! Do they only offer job to a certain number of people per batch? Or does everyone who passed interview get a job? Im so confused!

Pretty much guaranteed a job barring qualifications not matching the requirements or you're a career criminal :)

Anyone from the Kerry competition have any inside into how long they were waiting? Did my interview on the 11th, got results on the 16th, my OOM is single digit, sent my qualifications and location preference and closing to have them in was yesterday the 22nd of April.. just wondering is next step clearance and how long were ye waiting firstly to go through clearance and secondly offered a start date? Thanks

If this panel closes at the end of June, they will likely continue to call people until the new panel is formed — which probably won’t be until at least December. I mean, if they advertise the EO 2025 competition, by the time applications are submitted, online tests are completed, and results are processed, it will take a good few months. Does anyone remember when this panel was advertised? I think it was around last June, and I don’t think interviews started until December, so they’ll probably follow a similar timeline this time around.
