They don’t have olive oil behind the counters of supermarket delis because it is what it is. A supermarket deli. It’s not Avoca or Falon and Byrne.

The butter is marge, and the mayo is wallpaper paste. Were you expecting a €20 bottle of Italy’s best or some Tesco own brand Olive oil from the plastic bottle?

There’s actually nice flavoured oil that your sundried tomatoes were in; would have been a simpler and less strange request.
