Surely the phrase ‘every game I hope this is the one’ is extremely telling of where he actually is?

For my money he’s a good player but despite a few great moments hasn’t really demanded inclusion anywhere. Stuck between rocks though not getting consistent time anywhere.

Again, like I said, if Leinster have enough players fit and available it may be something they look to do if it arises. Milne and Barron are basically on loan to Munster for April, May and June. If they are on contracts of say 100k a year, that's 25k each leinster are saving. Harry is on, say 150k, and is gone for 5 months that's a further 60k save.

Lose a few fringe players from the squad and that CC 40% is very quickly reclaimed.

I've listened to the latest Aotearoa Rugby podcast. The had an entire segment on how Jordie is getting on at Leinster. The hosts were very complimentary of how Leinster were using Barrett and saying they're getting more out of him than the All Blacks are where too often he's used as a direct carrier.

They critiqued the New Zealand coaches for franchise and country for not making the most of his passing and kicking skills and argued they could learn a lot from from Leinster's coaching systems.

The podcast was recorded before the Rieko Ioane deal was announced, but the hosts all seemed to want more players to go abroad to round out their skill sets.

Yeah, this seems to be an emerging feeling from NZ folk I follow, that Barrett is going to come back to them a better player for his experience here. High praise, and pretty accurate, I think.

TOB is class. You'd hope he can stay fit, he's the kind of winger we have so few of. Serious wheels.

You hate to see this. Hope he's ok and it's all precautionary.

What chance Ulster had - and they came out full gas - is probably being destroyed by these injuries.

That was brilliant officiating in fairness.

Too strong up front really, and that monster bench is still to come on. TOB took his try brilliantly.

    No knock on there.

    That's just thick from mangan

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 9,396 ✭✭✭fitz

I didn't think that was lifting above the horizontal,he just flipped him over.

Still, wasn't needed, daft thing to do when on a warning.

Great scramble. Good shoot out from Frawley to force a poor option that lead to the turnover. Love a shutout like that.

What a f*cking kick from TOB.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 9,396 ✭✭✭fitz

Incredible vision, but the speed to execute it too, and so perfectly. Ridiculous

    Tommy O'Ramos. Sensational stuff.

That O'Brien kick was a touch of class to put Ireland's best winger in for the try.

This is the second time I've seen Culhane. He's a very special player. I think he should be starting at 8 or 6 in your first team. Not sure if he could play 7 but I wouldn't be surprised if he could. He'll be playing for Ireland soon I'd imagine.

Hopefully Snyman was taken off as a precaution.
