Was walking the roads all evening looking for my cat. Just after texting all the neighbours, she arrives back. There was a mixture of hugs & scolding. She’s a little divil

Overheard one of the kiddos on a call to a friend earlier..

Kiddo: Well TBF, you are kinda the biggest *incel I know.

Friend: must have asked why or, what makes you say that, etc..

Kiddo: Because you never **ever leave your house and your criticism is constant.

..Said in the gentlest, non judgemental tone ☺️

Probably isn't the nicest thing to call another child that name but the way it was said made me smile.

*I'm not sure if the criticism is aimed solely at girls, or if it's at everyone (I don't know the context of the conversation)

**I know this child has issues with not always attending school so kiddo might not have been exaggerating here

Misreading things when quickly scanning the internet recommended stories feed.

    I misread the word “slag”..,

The part where hearing someone use that term would be a “ trivial thing that made you happy “

I'm not sure you fully know what incel means. And it is an expression rarely aimed at girls. It is not a positive thing in any way.

It wasn't said to be mean. It was calling out certain behaviours in someone that I smiled at

Over the weekend, I was given about a dozen men's t-shirts to check ahead of them going to charity, the owner is well known for not being able to "see" dirt or smell smells, there was a bit of a hissy when I put them on the short wash and were line dried(so pretty much free)

By coincidence, we got a bag from one of the local charities that were looking for donations. went into the bag Monday, and I'll bet they are flying off the shelves in this weather(especially as they are designed for non-standard-sized men) 😀😀😀

Yesterday, one of my siblings had an appointment with his new doctor. The doctor sent him to a clinic to have a prostate issue looked at(tho he thinks it's not serious, but family history, etc)

I just received a call from the clinic to verify a detail on the form approximately 30 hours after the appointment, and the referral is already in the clinic. In turn, this is keeping Sib calm, alongside him going for his 6-month bloods regularly.

We hear so much negative about the medico's, so happy to see the system and staff working as it should.

The fines handed down in the most recent series of Nothing To Declare have been increased from about $325 to $3700, the look on the faces of idiots trying to smuggle in about $80 worth of banned foods is priceless 😂.

TH my young nephew (6) asked me what age I was, I said what age do you think I am? He wasn't sure where to start so I asked did he know what age his mammy is? Yes he knew her age, and do you think I am older or younger than mammy? Younger.

I am 5 years older than her 😂 Oh it's the little wins 🤣

Holding my 2 month old niece in my arms while she snores her little head off. Worth the dead arm afterwards 💕

Watching the news ( itv) and a segment came on about bowling . It took me back to years ago when a few ‘ locals ‘ hijacked the school bus in protest against bus charges .
We all had a great day eating sandwiches and playing road bowls .
Though I’m sure the bus driver was not amused .

My elderly dad gets meals on wheels, an absolute blessing and massive credit to those who provide the service.

Normally he'll get a really nice dinner, and either a yoghurt or little pot of jelly. Today there was the usual great meal, and beside it a little ball of tin foil. Inside it was two little cupcakes decorated for easter with edible chicks on top.

The sheer look of delight on his face as he showed me them was a sight to behold.

God bless ye meals on wheels volunteers, you make some difference and these little touches bring real happiness to people. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Having been forced to have my BP taken a few days ago, it was unsurprisingly a bit high.

Nurse went on and on about the dangers of it being high, etc(tho never asked why I felt it might be raised), causing a lot of anxiety for the past few days.

Today, a doctor from the same clinic called and told me my other results(that weren't available at the first appointment) need redoing and may have impacted my BP, while annoyed at being made that anxious, and a HCP didn't check the pending results b4 going down the scared skinny route.

But now that I know this info, I feel much safer!!!

    • Some older Bohemians fans going passed me as I’m exiting the car, maybe a bit drunk, laughing, singing and very delighted with their afternoon, Bohs coming from 2 down vs Rovers and the winner in the 96th minute. At the gym earlier and saw 15 minutes of it on a TV but at 2 down, never saw that coming.

I just love when important people pop up in my 'people you may know '. Just to say, I have absolutely no idea where this came from in my Facebook, but I'm claiming bragging rights anyway. The 'mutual friend' doesn't exist, and when I click on it, it just says 'something went wrong, try again. Ah well....
