Coupled with that announcement, you can now configure cars in all the models again.

In many ways it could be construed as the BMW 3 series of the E46 era forward in terms of sales rep machine. Looks well, nice place to be tight driving machine. Modern version of this type of motorway muncher

I've just been on Polestars website today. Fair play, they appear to have got their s**t together again. Nice to see available (new) cars and the configurator back up and running. That 41k asking price for a new (old shape) P2 was really hurting values for a while, although a lot of people got some great deals in the past 6-8 months.

Got my first service done today in Boland’s in Waterford from a recommendation. An hour and it was ready, nice people, no hassle squeezing it in. Service pack covered it. All the small things were done and the service book stamped. Was going to go to spirit and get the lowering springs done but the logistics weren’t working out and I’m probably going to pass the car onto herself as it’s not being used much anymore.

Got 4 new tyres during the week too. Rears were shot at 28k km, fronts had some life but while I was there I just got the same again. Managed to get the polestar specific conti sport contact 6 for 1100 fitted which wasn’t too bad for the convenience of them being local.

That's a decent price you got on the tyres, hard to get better than that

Just sold the Model 3 and got a decent deal on this 23 LRSM Plus in Magnesium.

Have to say the magnesium is probably the nicest car colour I've seen on the road.

The software isn't really in the same league as Tesla but from the reviews I was expecting a lot worse. It's still relatively snappy and the layout is decent. Having the screen behind the wheel is a godsend for navigation. Several times I've had some near lane cross incidents in the model 3 looking over at the map.

One annoyance though is the android automotive in house Youtube music app. On the tesla I had pages i could use to jump through my longer playlists. On this I can only see like….. maybe 10-15 songs around the song I'm currently on, which makes easily navigating my longer lists essentially impossible. Anyone know a way around this? Is there a better app that I could download which can wrap up my youtube music playlists in a nicer UI?

I'd also be interested in what people think of the battery health and charging habits. I normally charge in work. As I don't have a charger at home. This worked well on the model 3 as I don't drive a huge amount and Tesla actually recommends you charge the LFP battery to 100 once a week. So I'd charge to 100 and be sitting at 92-95 by the time I'm home. Should i do this with the P2? They recommend a 90% limit. Should I charge to 95 then sit on 90 once I'm home? 90 → 85 ? 100 → 95 ? Is the battery in this thing even susceptible to damage over short medium term doing something like this?

Cheers for any feedback from owners.

Yep I've identical to you and love it. Only charge to 90% unless I'm going on a long drive. You tube music is a bit of pain for me as it rarely continues playing from where I left off but I still prefer it to connecting my phone up to the car. Make sure the software is up to the most recent 3.4.4.

Nice. I've the same colour as well. I usually prefer darker coloured cars but wanted something silver as I was fed up of black. When Magnesium is clean on a bright day it's a lovely silver colour but admittedly in the winter it just looks white.

I charge to 90%. The charging timer in the car is bulletproof.

The software in my car has gone downhill a bit since I bought the car. Updates aren't helping this and appears to be buggy but nothing I can't live with as otherwise Android Automotive is the next best thing to what Tesla offers. I can't stand Android auto or apple carplay.

I charge to 100 at work, max 90 at home unless going on a long journey.

I think the bigger concern is over utilising super fast chargers. As in getting most of your charge from them, the heat degrades the batteries faster. 7 to 22kw charging most of the time, even regularly to 100 per cent isn’t really a huge issue from what I’ve read

Prices seem more realistic now but those of us who bought new in the last 2 or 3 years got screwed. My 2023 P2 is now worth 60% less than when I bought it new. Was tempted by a P4 and normally live by can’t take the cash with you, enjoy life, but i don’t like feeling like a fool either. I have the cash to pay off my PCP, going to do that, keep it for another 18 months and then hopefully pick up a 1 year old PS4 and let someone else take the depreciation.

Drove by PS4 on the road yesterday in black. Eye catching machine.

Cheapest used Polestar 2 on DD is advertised at €28,950. Are they holding their value or is there too few of them for sale to indicate what they’re really worth ? Early high milers in the UK appearing around the £14K mark.

    UsedcarsNI

Just keep an eye for applicable cars being advertised. A nice original AWD Fastback version popped up 2 weeks ago but that was nearer €30k. The basic FWD are advertised for £17k’ish

The original ones were FWD. RWD came in with the facelift.

This was in NI, so UK spec, AWD version.

I've edited my post to reflect the FWD of the originals.
