Another decent haul from Tartine Organic Bakery in Baldoyle yesterday. Two large sourdough loaves, two sourdough baguettes, two sourdough brioche rolls and two pastries. 4.99.

Pastries scoffed, the rest frozen in handy 'couple of slice' bags as we would not be huge bread eaters, but lovely to have decent stuff when we choose to be.

I think it's one of the best Too Good To Go's on the Northside of Dublin.

Aldi wrong times on app again tonight. Shop will close at 9pm as usual.

Got a 9.99 bag from Whelan's rathmines, and app said why not make the most of your trip so I heeded to that advice and reserved a 4.99 bag too.

Amazing value. The larger bag, which is not even the largest you can get there, had a free range chicken, chicken breast in some marinade and marinated chicken wings. All free range and use by 18th

Smaller bag had chicken meatball and minced beef. We had the meatballs, I roasted the chicken for tomorrow's lunch, the wings will be the kids dinner tomorrow. The rest is in the freezer. Their meat is excellent quality

Chanced a Sheridan's bag for the first time in a while today having been stung with duds the last two times. She's a good un!

    Full Firehouse rustic baguette

    Pig's Back chicken liver paté

    McCarthy's rashers

And two wedges of Coolea cheese, which I love 😃

The lack of standaration in this is putting me off

    Go to one cafe

2 scones, 2 rock bun, 2 muffins, 4 donuts in Athlone

Got a cafe today for around a euro less in Dublin

    2 scones, 2 croissant

Not much difference in quality, in fact Athlone would be better as an actual bakery/cafe, rather than just a cafe

The star ratings tell the story. I've done a few collections over the last month and the results can be epically brilliant, or complete rubbish. The star ratings are consistent, so now I won't get anything below 4 stars. Still no guarantees, but it helps.

Cafe Nero is my best consistently. Last collection had 3 garlic breads, 4 crossisants, 2 wraps, 4 slices of cake, 1 breakfast bap and 1 toastie.

anyone know approx what time the James Whelan offers go up? Everytime Im on the app they always fall into the 'Popular Today' category and are sold out.

Got my first Aldi box last week, 1.2kg of beef mince, 2 x fishcakes and 2x battered cod fillets. Was happy enough with that for the price

I think each store and each bag type is different, I’ve collected from a few different ones and each time the time it was on the app has been different.

Small bag says check back at 18:15, so worth a try

Has anyone ever tried a Molodva Stores? Rated 4.1.

A friend got one in Limerick, sausage rolls, sausages, battered burgers and wedges etc. Good quantity of food. Not the best quality after sitting under a heat lamp but still edible

No but they do yellow sticker their fresh stuff, yogurts, meats, pastries and that. you could get a nice selection.

Yeah I picked that up a few times from here. The advice of nothing below 4 stars isn't worth a punt is fairly on the button.

Lovely bag from Grounded in Clonskeagh for €4.

I have eaten the sambo and the Lemon overnight oats and they were both delicious.

Do you still get charged if you don't pick up your order?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,469 ✭✭✭Rocket_GD

Yes, you pay for them in advance to get a code.

Ordered a bag from the Cake Cafe near Camden Street last night.

Was due to collect at 3pm.

In town and just got a message at 2:30 saying "no surplus so refunded".

    Not mad on that now.

An Applegreen one with 2 sausages, 4 black pudding, wedges, a jambon, a sausage roll, 2 ribsteaks and a beef burger for €3.99. Had the sausages pudding and wedges in the car the rest will be eaten later.

Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.

See the rating system has changed, include a photo now, be great if a sample could be published.

Aldi 2.5k shopping voucher competition, nice one.

It's an element of the system in fairness. The bags are usually put up the day before in the assumption of a certain amount of leftover food. If they have a better day than expected then they have to cancel the bag. It's annoying but it's the same with the way sometimes an extra bag will appear on a sold out place where they've more leftover than they thought, so swings and roundabouts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 342 ✭✭CKrules

I understand the system of course but 30 minutes notice is a bit much.

I may have gone out of my way to collect it.

The joys of it isn't it

Unfortunately it's very open to abuse from businesses
