Anti hotspot tape -Polytunnel

    HHello

    I wonder if anyone can help please. Polytunnel is 5 years old. The polythene has come loose from the metal bars. I ordered hotspot tape, assuming that each side was sticky and that the bars and polythene would be secure, but only one side is sticky and thats the side that attaches to the bars. The polythene is still loose. Any ideas please?

    Make a cross with two bits of tape, both pieces sticky side out. Stick one piece to the plastic, behind and parallel to a bar, then fold the other piece round the bar.

    The idea of anti hotspot tape is that you stick it to the tubes before you put the polyethene on.

    5 years is getting to the age limit of the plastic if you didn't use anti hotspot tape to start with.

    Its annoyingly expensive for what it is but it can add a season or two to the life of a polytunnel if used correctly. Its white so its reflective and is made of foam so insulates to help prevent the plastic from getting hot and failing prematurely.

    Thanks all. The hotspot tape was put on at time of installation.
