I have SAJ R5 5K S2 with 12 400 solar panels on the spliuth facing roof, which maxed is 375v on the best day. Planning to add another 10 440w panels on the north facing side of the roof which would run 390v at 100%, but because it is north facing roof, I read that it will only produce about 60% of what is produced on south facing roof part. Is it enough to upgrade inverter to 8kw, presuming that production will not go over 600v any time given or should I get second inverter installed separetely?

It's 600v per string so one inverter is fine

    Would the amperage be ok?

This isnthe manual for inverter. Thanks

Yeah no issue at all. If panels, it's per string

Guys, I'm looking at adding a couple of panels to a battery only install in an apartment (ground floor, due south facing wall), would a couple of 525W puls panels be enough for the inverter to work, or will I need at least 3 to achive 90V?

I was looking at some of the Jinko panels. I am basically looking for the most output for the smallest panel at the best price, open to suggestions. The wall that I am looking to mount them on is 3.30m wide x 1.85m high, height wise I can go a bit higher if needed, width is pretty fixed at the 3.3m.

With those dimensions, I'd imagine best bet would be 3 x 440/450w panels as they nearly work out bang on to match your dimensions with most being around 1.8m x 1.1m

Thanks, yeah that's what I was thinking but will 3 panels be enough for the inverter to "start" (90V on the Solis), or do panels chuck out plenty of voltage once the sun hits them?

Should be fine. Took a screenshot from my dads system which has 8 Jinko 440w panels facing Northwest and even with these normally not producing anything much until at least 1 or 2 pm at this time of year, you can see that they were producing 256V from 7.30 this morning, so about 35v per panel and away they go
