AIB app down?

    Got connected in a browser on a PC so probably app related.

    Happens to me sometimes too, I find force closing the app and restarting it usually helps.

    Happened a buddy last weekend, AIB app wouldn't work on android.

    Contacted AIB, and after 50 minutes of trying this, that and the other, he eventually decided to restart the phone..... The app worked once he did that!

    If that doesn't work and you're tempted to uninstall and reinstall the app, I would first clear the app cache. That often fixes the problem.

    Press and hold your finger on the app icon, tap the 'i' (information) icon in the upper-right corner of the popup panel, scroll down the options and tap 'Storage', then tap 'clear cache' in the lower right corner.

    Such a pile of shite, trying to pay motortax online, it's blocked all my cards. The authentication system is crap. They're now sending a 6 digit code but authentication needs an 8 digit code. Logging in iscbeyond painful recently too

    Ohmygod, it's desperate. My app is fine, it's a friend of mine who is still having trouble. He asked in the bank itself and they said it's a problem with Android and they "are working hard to fix it" and will send a notification when it's fixed.

    He has quite an old phone though, I was wondering if that might be part of the problem

    Once I'm logged in it's fine, but logging in is becoming a bit of a lottery. It often takes two attempts, with an error message and having to hit the "Try again" button, or else it hangs interminably and needs a forced close or a cache clear to get it to work.

    Yeah, it's been glitchy as fcuk for me for weeks. Endless authentication loops, failure/try again messages, and then when it does finally open it's in a new tab in my browser rather than the actual app itself. I'm using the latest version of the app, have tried un-and-reinstalling several times - nothing seems to fix it. It's nigh-on unuseable at this point.

    Android on Samsung Galaxy.

    Lately for the past 2 months or so, the first attempt it will tell me Technical Difficulties and to try again. I would try again and it will attempt to go to browser but at the bottom there is option to continue in App.. 2nd time usually works fine although annoying. Same issue with my wife's and we're both on Android (2-3 years old flagship phone). That to me seems like it is a problem with the app itself.

    Samsung A15 and it's working fine. I just applied an update in the play store. Never had any issues with the app, tbh.

    It works on my Samsung A26. Had a Pixel 7 up to a couple of months ago and it didn't work properly on that.

    Check your Android default app for Browser in settings. It should be something like Chrome and not the more niche browsers.
