Prima Facie sold out in about four minutes. I know it was the Gaiety but I was surprised with no queue or waiting room.

Got 2 for the Wednesday, and was fairly lucky to get them.

I'm sure I read tickets would be from €25 or so, but didn't see anything close to that this morning. Was dynamic pricing used or were there just very few cheaper tickets?

Last 2 rows for the matinees, first to go. I actually think they were very reasonably priced considering capacity and demand.

Row G and H of the Dress Circle for €30. Off to the side, though. Still, you're in the building.

I logged in at 10am and the cheapest tickets avaliable we're for €70. Didn't get any in the end as they were gone every time I tried to add to the basket.

€75 was about my limit but I got row E in the stalls so happy with that. Saturday matinee, so get a night out in town afterwards too 🙂

Think I saw shadow of a gunman from up there, it's a fairly reasonable view considering you're closer to the stage of the Olympia........

Got 2 for the Friday, central in the stalls. Delighted

A dozen or so more tickets (probably incomplete sales) seem to have popped up on some of the days.

Single spots, no multiples. I been priced out I'd say had some at 75 but nah.

I saw some "restricted views" for €35 so there might have been some really crap ones for €25

I got 2 in row N of the Parterre for the Saturday matinee so happy enough

Saw a restricted row R €30 for Wed, same tickets €50 on Saturday. What else would you expect with MCD owning the venue. People are happy to pay which throws the likes of me to the side-lines.

Got 2 good seats for Saturday night - delighted with that!

Got in the queue at 0950 and got front row seats for the Weds night.

    Well happy

There was no queue. It was a free for all at 10 when they went on sale so you were lucky. Thankfully I got four in the middle about eight rows back. Very happy.

Grant Lee Phillips back in Whelan's in January

I travelled to Limerick (from Galway - actually from Arizona via Galway, long story) to see him in 2022. Not sure yet if I'll travel to Dublin but probably will.

How was he? LOVED Fuzzy, haven't really followed his solo career.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,409 ✭✭✭Unrealistic

He was very good. He played Fuzzy and some other memorable songs from the Grant Lee Buffalo albums but his more recent solo stuff was very listenable too. Lots of interesting banter and a generally happy evening.

Fuzzy is a great album. I wish I had gone to that gig. I was going to, but can't remember why I didn't make it. I loved Jupiter and Teardrop. It's so passionate. One of my favourite songs in his GLB days is a short simple song - Honey Don't Think. I don't know what drew me to it. It's so straight-forward. But I just loved it. Only listened to The Narrows from his GLP career. Must give the rest a listen.

Just on Fuzzy. Looks like he doesn't play that song live anymore. Hasn't played it since mid last year. I'm sure it will make its way back in to the setlist some time.

If my memory is correct we got Fuzzy, Jupiter & Teardrop (finale), Honey Don't Think and The Hook in Limerick. There were a few other GLB songs as well but those are the ones that stood out for me.

    Not quite the Status Quo

Quite a nice little tour of the country…

I was at his tour of the Trouble album in the National Stadium back in 2007 in my early twenties…

    How time flies.

    Really great album.

Grandaddy doing a tour for the 25th Anniversary of The Sophtware Slump.

US only now, but some European dates are straight to the top of my 2026 wish list.

I saw them in the Olympia on that tour, a triple bill with Joan of Arse and Goodtime John. Superb show. A fantastic album.
