Is boards on a very slow path to death or is it dead and can't find it's way over to the other side?

Is Boards dying? I enjoyed boards for years. Then they changed the way the site works, an overhaul of some type. Since then it's been downhill. Maybe the downhill was well on its way before that?

It's a shadow of its former self. It reminds me of the old lonely and almost deserted town in the westerns. No whiskey,beer or entertainment and the tumbleweed blowing through the mucky street.
