Outdoor drain keeps filling with stones

Can anyone tell me who I should call to get this sorted? A drain out my back garden keeps getting blocked with stones. I can clear it with rods but a few weeks later, same thing again. I can’t tell where they’re coming from but obviously something is disintegrating down there. Any advice would be appreciated.

I can only assume that the underground pipe has 'failed' along the line somewhere. Maybe a root of a tree has breached the wall of the pipe, or someone has damaged it by excavating works etc.. You might have to get one of the drain companies out with a CCTV system (for a visual inspection).

Or rats dragging stones in from a broken section. But it's a broken section all of the same.

Same thing happened to me, one of the inlets into the AJ wasn't sealed, so there was an open inlet, perfect for the rats to dig out through and fill the drains with stones

Actually looking at your photo, it was a similar position on the footpath, and the stones were the hardcore from underneath the footpath, path ended up cracking too.

That's almost exactly what happened to me too. I blocked the unterminated branch up with cement and it resolved it, but not before they slightly undermined the hardcore in the path.

Little feckers, I ended breaking the path up when I was putting down a patio.

The rats had dug under the path to a rainwater shore nearby and were using this as a run from the sewer to the neighbors gardens.

Got it sorted like you did, eventually.
