I'm looking for some nice smelling climbers, to go on a planter with high back/fence thing, that will block off the wheelie bins.

Was thinking about sweet peas, anything else?

Honesuckle, preferably evergreen. Sweetpeas are lovely but they are high maintenance and short lived.

Agree with looksee, did whole wall of sweetpeas last year and they were fab but I practically had a breakdown trying to keep up with them. Planted jasmine and honeysuckle (also last year), jasmine looks like it's struggling but the honeysuckles flowered last year and are already looking green and vigorous this year. Can be invasive though, need a bit of care to keep under control.

How deep is the planter? You'll struggle to grow anything of significance if it's not deep enough bar sweet pea each year.

A less demanding climber would be star jasmine (Trachelospermum) but it's slow enough growing.

I'd definitely recommend honeysuckle. I have a couple of jasmines and they aren't doing very well.
