I have a HKC 1070 panel and bought a new wireless PIR sensor, followed the manual to add it from engineer menu, Devices Menu → RF Devices Menu → Add &ID RF Devices → Add&ID:RF Zones

This scans indefinitely and just doesn't find it, stuck on 000 and it should go to 001 once found.

I bought a new battery to be sure the one it came with wasn't drained but the same. I do see it flash a few times when inserting the battery but that's it.

    Any ideas?

Did you buy it locally or from the UK. UK and IE parts are not comparable with each other.

I didn't think they shipped with Panasonic batteries, usually Duracell

The panasonic was me trying out a new battery but I think you might be right with the UK/IE bit.

Sensor was bought locally but I can see on the 1070 board it has UK so that may be it.

Is it the same for wired PIR sensor or that should work fine?

Wired sensors will be fine, it's mainly wireless devices, keypads, expanders etc

Guess I need to buy one from UK ebay if I want it to work with my panel.
