Yeh it's all but done that England will finish 1st and get the 5 places with Italy and Spain fighting for second

Pretty sure Europa and Conference League wins add points too, and Chelsea have won every game they played in Conference League and you would still fancy Spurs and Utd to go through Thursday although with either of them you never know

The TV director was awful tonight. Not often I'd notice it. 118th minute they spent 30 seconds on fans while the ball was in play ffs

Wobble away. No way does Bruno, who plays football like an NFL QB, get near this Liverpool squad. He wouldn't fit. There are 2 Premier League teams who I can't see having a system, Man Utd and West Ham Utd. Bruno does enough sometimes to paper over the cracks, but neither Klopp nor Slot could use a rogue player, as they both employ systems you have to fit into.

5 years to the day since Atletico took Liverpool to extra time in the Last 16 at Anfield.

Liverpool don't lose often in Europe at home, especially when it matters. But just like that night 5 years ago, the better team go through. We had the chances to win it but so did they

Now let's hope tomorrow the Taoiseach doesn't announce a nationwide lock down like 5 years ago!

Whatever about tonight, on no planet were AM the best team 5 years ago. You need to watch that game again.

I think that'll be the case. PSG getting to the final and beating Barca with a Dembele winner would be kind of funny.

As much as I admire their way of playing, I still couldn't actively want PSG to win the competition because of the owners.

They definitely should be favourites now though

Ya can never write off Real really. But ya would be funny after tonight could be PSG time.

PSG were 14/1 this morning and are now 10/3 joint favourites with Barcelona. Real are 4/1 and Atleti at 28s look big because surely Simeone has something up his sleeve for tomorrow.

Bayern going through 5 zip over the two legs and getting very little attention while doing so.

It's all very hard to predict. Some great games left to go. We have to see if PSG can back up those 2 legs, that's the most electric and determined I've seen them in years. If that's the true PSG, they could go all the way.

I fancy Inter to beat Bayern.

Fancy Inter to get to final.

I tend to agree, Inter will be a hard team to beat if they get to a final. They're like an old school Italian team, grinding out results.

Very pleased for PSG. Clearly the better side over the two legs.

Liverpool will stroll to the PL title, for what it's worth. But it's a very average title race this year with City in serious decline and Arsenal deficient in attack and hampered by injury.

When it comes to the CL, they just don't have the calibre

    XG aggregate:

    Liverpool (1.98) 1-1 (5.33) PSG

Ridiculous comparison. They're 2 totally different players, under a Slot or even Klopp team Bruno does not play ahead of someone like Szobzalai. He's probably Liverpools most important player in that midfield trio. It's a very disciplined, energy zapping role.

Bruno seems to work best in a more old school, creative No.10 type, or dropping a bit deeper, spraying passes and trying to get UTD on front foot.

I've watched him get overran by Liverpools midfield so many times over the last numerous of years, that I don't know how anyone could make the argument that he suddenly now walks into it.

I had forgotten Liverpool were top seed in CL until slot said it post match. Hard to disagree that it was an unlucky draw getting PSG given the seedings.

Looking at Liverpool all they seem to need is a top notch striker. Along with Salah. Because Nunez wildly inconsistent.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Barcelona-PSG could be a final for the ages. Potential goal fest. Dembele, Kvar, Yamal and Raphinha all slugging it out…wow. Plenty of narratives too with both managers aiming to win a second CL with two different teams and Enrique vs his old club etc.

Fully expect Inter vs Real now though

As a Manchester United fan am I delighted that Liverpool have been knocked out? Absolutely yes I am. As a football fan do I hate just about everything about PSG and their owners? Absolutely yes I do. All that said....

That's one of the best, most engrossing knockout games ever in the CL era. Just some stunning football played by both sides and some incredible goalkeeping by both keepers too. Liverpool have walked the EPL this year and will be deserved champs but they shouldn't feel any shame losing to this PSG team. Vitinha was phenomenal across the whole tie, what a player. Nuno Mendes kept Salahs influence to a minimum. Dembele looks a different player than the one that was at Barca. I can't bring myself to cheer them on but they play some incredible football and will take some stopping.

I couldn't agree more. I don't think there was a team I hated more than that Neymar lead PSG team of primadonnas!

That PSG team is very far removed from that, (albeit the same state led owners which i struggle to lean any suppor too normally) but they're coached incredible well. And I'm delighted to see Dembele reaching his potential. Vitinha was just so good across both legs, he's probably been the best midfielder in Europe in general this season TBF.

That game last night is why I love European football. It was just absorbing from start to finish. 2 exceptional sides going toe to toe. Both teams could have had 3 apiece and the fact there was only 1 goal in it was a bit mad it itself.

Hopefully that game is a sign of things to come for the remainder and we get some more classics. A Barca PSG final could be one for the ages if it materialises.

And I thought they deserved to go through. We were lucky to take it to extra time that night and we were dreadful in the extra period.

Same as PSG last night, we were the better team last night as Enrique said, but doesn't mean we deserved to go through.

PSG were exceptional throughout the tie.
